Apparently in Det, a Grand Rapids driver hooked to one of our trailers which had High Priced freight on it. Guess he did not see the heavy duty padlock on it.

Wish I had a dollar over the past 9yrs for every line haul that grabbed the wrong door number and then didn't bother to look at the trailer number, oh well at least I got to get off the dock and help break them...something diferent:)

you have just been nominated for the vitran's highest honor ! A plastic gold pin for your shirt. Wear it with pride.....llllllllmao

I don't know. I saw the switcher turning the padlocked trailers around so nobody could hook to them by mistake. Sometimes the super will give us a load to take to GM Pontiac, and we then find out after checking the ppwrk that he gave us bills for GM Burton by mistake.

thats why you double/triple check numbers...at conway we have trailer numbers that are so close, you sometimes think that they put the trailer number in wrong.. Whichever leg you mispulled on if its a line run you arent getting paid for that.

I was always told to match the seal # as well. Some companies may not record the seal number though.
