Periodically driving to work at my usual time I see a Quast truck & trailer on the highway out of the window. I know you guys bought them in the late 90's but it's kinda fun to see the old carriers' logos floating out there yet.

How were they to work for?
 
quast was a good company to work for in my opinion.some of the things I remember are:overtime after 8,100 dollar safety shoe allowance(and that was 13 years ago),bonuses,and you got paid your hourly rate for everything you did, unless you were being paid mileage for linehaul.thats right, from the time you walked through the door til the time you walked out to go home you were paid! they were good to their employees

I hired on with Quast in 1998 it was a great co. to work for, but when it became vitran we lost alot of benifits, overtime after 8hrs, was a big killer, then they started cutting linehaul every way they could think of, took all of the fun out of working there.
