XPO | Effective May 6th 2013...

Do ya seriously thumb through the papers on the dock? Why? Just scan and go....

Yes I do, because I don't necessarily trust our world class employees to enter the right zip code in or piece count. I don't know how many times I've had to take a bill to the dockstand for a correction because the bill to zip in California was entered instead of the ship to zip in Ohio or had to correct pieces because someone didn't enter them correctly. If we can't see the bills more mis-ships are going to occur. Doesn't sound on-time execption-free or fast to me. But the folks at XGO cooked it up so it must be right.

Finally, Con-Way adopts a policy that the employees have come up with. They talk about it all the time but this is the first time I have really seen them get on board with what is happening in the real world. Sounds like most of us have been paperless for a while already. Anyone else ever get an empty bill pack? Let's hope they go back to the drawing board with the crumby uniforms now!

that and the new strap hanger

I’ve been paperless for months. First thing I do is take all the papers out of the packet and then find a skid of freight I can slide the papers down and carry on as usual. Life is as simple as you want to make it.
I do the same thing. Take out the bills and as i transport the first skid, slam dunk papers in the first Trash can i see.
I love xcw, it makes me happy

Yeah, when I get to my first P&D stop, I take the whole tangled pile of straps and throw them to the nose of the trailer. I am not picking them up at every stop, or tripping over them, or having freight snagging on them all day.

I tie them all to the ICC bumper and tape a just married sign on the door and see how many people I can get to honk for me!

I agree that it is good to be it paperless. In Finland country there are is a transportation company at are planning to do also paperless which still they studying it more and it would be nice if they also do it.
