Is this place as garbage towards new drivers as 90% of people say?

I do not want to necessarily hear from the smug, self-satisfied dudes with lots of seniority. I want to hear from people don't seem to be corporate shills and who who do their jobs, have a good attitude, and have joined recently. I unfortunately have to transfer to the Bay Area (any guys working out in this areas input would be great) because of my wife's job and really need to hit the ground running with a new company. Some pros and cons (I am sorry if this has been addressed in earlier posts) would be nice. Thanks!

Where exactly in the Bay Area will you be living? I dont know about the city side, but I know the extraboard guys that run linehaul out of the bay area seem to be running pretty regularly to the Sacramento, CA FAC. San Jose(USJ) is a smaller terminal, so it might be hit or miss there. UOA(Oakland or Hayward proper), you might have a better chance there...or maybe(UFN)-Fresno.. I can ask the drivers out of those terminals what its looking like and get back to you.

Im in the midwest and to be honest with you, this is a very hard place to work for a new guy, especially the first cuple of years, maybe longer!:6792:

i have been here for about 1.5 years and its tough at times being that it all rolls down hill if you know what i mean. but honestly i have never missed a days work and they have never asked me to take time off or do anything that would danger my cdl or things along that line. There are some people here that hate their job and i know some terminals have guys sit at home some but i have not experienced that. my only gripe was the health bennies for the first year.

we will most likely be living in the East Bay, roughly the Union City area. Both Conway terminals in San Jose and Oakland are looking. They are constantly and forever looking. Which is what of course made me suspicious enough to ask my questions in this post. I would really be grateful if you could hit up a couple of guys at both terminals and ask which would be worth it. if the line haul work is steady as you say that would be a no brainer for me. It is very difficult for me to check things out from Chicago ahead of time properly and any input I get is really really helpful. feel free to message me with any details or any leads I can work. Thanks again. Names Chris :-)

got any quick deductible, copay et cetera, info you could share? I've heard they're not ideal but I have no specifics. But work is work mind I'm going to need something quick as I said.

The insurance he is referring to, is basicly hospitalization, with a large deductible. But its only 10$ person week. Or something like that. And no dental or vision the first year.

This place is equal opportunity when it comes to garage treatment, they treat everyone like garbage, well everyone except for a couple of their favorites. All you have to do is stand back and listen for a day or so around here to find out who the golden boys of this operation are.
