ABF | One irrefutable fact

It's never too late bro. We can put up a good fight. Hoffa, Johnson, Sweeton and Hall, LLC , HAVE MADE MILLIONS for their own pockets since they allowed this YRC debacle to continue. They want us to believe that they have OUR best interests at hand. Well lets break that down. IBT had ABF cued up to acquire Holland if the whole YRC went south. Hoffa has two members on the board of directors at YRC. Johnson wanted to save 37,000 jobs at YRC. The 15% beg back was a shill, so much that ABF filed a lawsuit to MAYBE get some cash for their pockets. So where does this leave us. We have YRC officials negotiating on OUR side of the table, against ABF officials that were going to be business partners and we are now in the middle of this tug of war. Sure they want concessions, but we want a few things too. Like all of our working conditions left intact. You know the conditions the REAL HOFFA busted his ass getting, so the kid could throw it away. Its time for a change, and if those BOZOS at TNFINC cant help us maybe its time we found someone that can. The lies and the subterfuge ends now before its too late.
BTW. EVERY FACT IS REFUTABLE UNLESS EACH PARTY STIPULATES, CONCEEDS OR EITHER SIDE IS PROVEN WRONG. You are abou to find out all about this bumbler. This whole progtam was clarified when HOFFA couldnt find two minutes of his time to address the ABF membership IN PERSON on a teleconference. Instead, a GD recording??? We know where we stand now Jimbo. Our best interests dont fit.in your agenda. SHAME ON YOU.

Mikey..Mikey...Mikey.. Why do you think they've been organizing bus drivers,police, laundromats,trash,friggin' radio stations,you name it.They give em 50 cents cut their health care costs in 1/2, give em due process when there's a problem and HE! gets their dues.But more important he gets their vote! Trucking Teamsters have known for years now that hoffa does not have our back. We dont carry the vote anymore! And in case you haven't noticed the govt. really doesn't like or care about Unions. Sure they care about our vote,but just like our local officials when the elections over where the F... are they? Hey were all busy! but we find time for the hand that feeds us.BA's,Vice Presidents,presidents don't see it that way. They have become entitled. Over 30+ yrs I've watched some of the best,honest men,FRIENDS! take these posts and lose every ounce of decency in their bones.Human nature I guess? No different than our President,Governors,Senators I suppose. My 3rd generation Teamster Irish-American roots would never let me quit fighting but I know as a respected American Teamster Truck driver our time is short. With 2 yrs to go I SHOULD have voted yes,sucked it up and when the time to vote came, I could not. My wife joked "You're kinda like that picture of the frog giving the heron the finger just before he's eaten!" I thought how appropriate a F.....N FROG! After 8 Teamster bankruptcies she realizes the futility of it all.She has a hard time understanding that our" Brothers" have done this to us. Over and over. Money...put most men around alot of it and they will sacrifice and lose everything! For you spelling freaks around my home hoffa gets spelled with a small h! He's not a man,but a disease! From any public corporations income statement. Revenue, Profit and net income and EBITA all have different and consequential meanings.

But revenue and EBITA are the most important. That determines growth. Profit and net income are often plowed back into the company for growth. Compare how John D. Rockefeller grew Standard Oil and how Sam Walton grew Wal-Mart. Two different business models where revenue and EBITA were more important than profit and income.
 
Revenue don't mean crap. ABF increased revenue for the purpose of showing a loss. It's how much profit you're making on that revenue. Any carrier can take on non-profitable freight. The higher the carrier's cost the less they profit on the freight they pick up.
Unless there is super efficiency. That does not exist in the freight industry

I think you may be forgetting about economy of scale and, because ABF has several companies under the ABFS umbrella, economy of scope.

You mean our esteemed General Executive Board who worked on the deal for a two month extension for something presentable to bring to the table but failed? Did you really think you would get a $2 dollar raise in the contract? I mean wtf, the boys had no guns.. Now, shouldn't the credit for the current state of affairs go to the She Wolf of Ft Smith?. Do you have a problem uttering the truth? Now say something harsh about harsh about the way your company is treating you. go!!
 
Boy, you sure seem to be the expert on everything here dude. Expert on ABF, YRC, UPS, tell me, where did the negotiators ever get the idea that keeping everything a secret was a good idea until the two man meeting? This tactic makes it look as if they're hiding something. (of course they are) So let me tell you here young man. When you go to a gun fight with a ball bat, expect to get shot. The guns in this case is the strength of the rank and file membership of this union. James R. knew that, understood that and used that to win the BEST contracts in lean times. The company is using the tools that are available to them, to their advantage. They are using them well. This company forgot how to treat people the minute David Stubblefield walked out that door. He understood that when you treat people with respect, you'll get more. Young III, promoted that and made sure of it. Now this is the most abusive employer in the trucking industry today. Trouble is, they're getting away with it, and the union is backing them instead of us.

The truth is, and I know you have a problem with the truth, because you can't handle the truth, This so called "negotiation" is a slap to every member here. You need "guns" they'll get them from us, just ask.

Tell me the truth about this "shared sacrifice" mou that was added on. Does that mean since the management was forced to take a cut on all pension contributions, that we will too? Think about that one before you ever think about telling me go Save that for your wife and dog.
