I think you are confused as usual, It is only a few of the yes voters that is claiming the sky is falling and if this contract don't pass the world is going to end....

It figures you would come here and get it wrong. Oh I forgot you you aren't here to contribute, you are just here to start trouble. You are starting to sound like joe the plumber opps I mean 100 miles from drom......

Good rule of thumb is NOT to bring work home, letting the wife and kids in on the drama is just setting yourself up to explain why grown ass men act like teenage girls. Rollin 62 just get back to work and mind your business. ABF teamsters will make sure all the nons standard of living remains respectable as well.

I was dead set on voting NO. Then, the ballot came along with a dvd from abf,same day.
My kid watched some of it and came to me and said ;
"Daddy, what will we do if you lose your job? I don't think the man in the movie
Wants you to lose your job. "
Then she said "I HOPE YOU DONT LOSE
YOUR JOB "

Well, I was so touched by her simple logic and the concerned look in her big eyes,
how could I ever jeopordize her future because of my stubornness?
I then opened the ballot,picked up my
Pen and.........
Scratched a big x in the NO boxes,sealed it, told the child to put it in the box and raise the flag!
When she returned, I explained to her
How the man in the video tells lies and how he wants to steal daddys money so he can eat more food and get fatter.
Lastly, I told her to throw that propaganda dvd in the trash. Lol

Great Story

I'm all for ABF making a profit but if I get NO work what's in it for me???

The fort screwed up I was supposed to be scared into voting yes... The problem is this deal is so bad I'll get no work so there's nothing in it for me to vote yes for.

And nothing to loose by voting NO. Reduce our pay, cut our vacation, subcontract our work, record us for firing, what do we have to loose by voting NO?

Possibly a job?

I voted no too, but I believe its a great gamble.

You may loose your job but it wont be because you voted NO. And it wont be because this T/A did not pass. Too much $$$ involved. And please don’t say YRC will buy ABF. The stock was selling for $6.43 in November. They did not buy it then, why would they buy it now?

I am glad to hear that you voted 'no' but I don't believe it is a gamble. I see it as a bellwether. Your 'no' vote tells me that there are voters out there who appear to be 'yes' voters who are against this piece of garbage and see it for what it is.

You make it seem that YOU know what is going to happen...so please enlighten your Brothers & Sisters on this...if you know....I will be back, gotta get some popcorn!....KK...
...:drama::drama:
Funny you would ask what will happen when you were on here not too long ago sounding off on what will happen. Here are a few of the things that will happen:
1) Everyone will lose a week's vacation, including those who only get one week

2) The company will stop hiring drivers and start farming out as much work as they can. They'll even leave seniority drivers sit at home while contractors do our work.

3) Drivers (only the indigent drivers) will get fired for stealing time for stopping to get a soda after their second break but before their tenth hour. Or maybe when the driver denies the stop they'll fire him for dishonesty.

That's enough to do it for me but there is more.

I know you're hot because I've been criticizing your statements here but you deserved the spankings :732: for asking us to do what you would not do. Since you're running for popcorn I like Orvil's (mainly because ConAgra is in my portfilio but it's a good product too) with salt and butter.

You won't lose your job if...Depends on how much Ms.McReynolds and the board and investors feel how valuable the company is.Right now ABF isn't doing to bad in the stock market.Company is still making money.Dont ever discredit yourself and the service you allow the company to use.Your time is valuable.Your service is valuable

@ slabpile... HaHaHa excellent story ! Yeah my ballot finally came.. wasn't a hard decision... 'X' in the NO column. Let's move on and see what they come up with next round. oh, and take that vacation nonsense out right off the top.

Excellent points. Most people sell themselves short. If you work for ABF you are one of the best in the industry. The background check and the application requirements are some of the most extensive I have ever seen. It is very hard to get a job at ABF. And shouldn’t that count for something?

Even if we're not the best they do a great job of making us feel like we are with that hiring process.

Contractors get them kinda runs. You should already know that. Only difference is we don't pay dues.

I try to be neutral about this voting for a contract at ABF.Because I work for YRC and by far we have some major idiots to some degree here.Dont be one of those idiots at ABF.I know most of you have submitted your votes.From what I can tell.Ecspecially over the years of ABF demanding the same pay cuts and benefits like YRCW is enjoying off of our backs.I can't see why in the hale anyone would vote yes for this contract at ABF.Please don't be an idiot and vote for that garbage.This will undoubtedly hurt all the members in the IBT eventually in the long run by voting yes.Dont let us idiots down at YRC.God Bless
