I heard through the grape vine "HM" has sold all his personal antique trucks to pay off bad debt that is owed to Jefferies Capital partnership.
And that NC is not fixing there equipment, What's up with that? Hey what's up with those part time drivers making $18 an hour with no benefits.

From reading your other posts, your grapevine sounds more like sour grapes. While I am relatively new to this company, they keep me busy and pay me fairly well.I take it you are a former driver with a grudge???Been there myself but it will subside some day.

Never worked at NC Sorry!!!!
although we might have worked for the same company somewere else, I have never worked there.. I do know a large number of drivers who work or worked there at one time or another, And all had the same gripe about the benefits, pay, equipment and management..
Of course I HEARD this from someone else :)

Yo local driver,i thought you were working for con-way-your pic is pyle-did you leave con-way?

Hi formerEdriver, long time!!! how are you??? Yes I resigned from conway....and went to work for Pyle, I should have done this three years ago! My mistake!!! good pay good bene's and they leave you alone hear... pretty much like driving the old blue truck.
conway cinnaminson has lost a lot of freight and the list below me was starting to shrink.. im getting 55+ hours a week at Pyle and running the old route I use to run from Conchie-reading.. its a good job bud!!! drive truck pickup check:)

That's great to hear ray!! Pyle is lucky to have you. Do you have to drive to west chester? I was at fedex national for 10 months and then they did away with ntl. and offered me a job in brunswick.I decided it was to far,and went to work for Ward. They are treating me well but the benes suck! Glad to hear you are doing well!!!

Yes there is a bunch of us making the commute.. WC was a lot closer then E.Brunswick or Carteret.. There opening Allentown at the end of the summer, They own the YRC terminal up there..and rumor has it Maspeth to open also..Of course "I heard" that from someone else!!

Sounds like Pyle is doing well! do they let you start early in am? I would like to do something other than freight that is local and starts early!!! any ideas????

I start 8 or 830, if its quiet they have me come in at 11, and just make pickups.. if i get in late i still get 10 hrs or more..

Yeah thats typical freight hours...i start at 830 at Ward and do around 10 hours a day-would love to find a driving job that starts early like a distribution job!!!

Pyle Allentown will happen this year, maspeth is all rumors. Still have those green trucks in there. Most early starts will be working the dock b/4 you go out in the am.

More drivers running out the door at NCT.Quit faster than they can hire them.Inefficient.poorly run company. If they are still in business 12 months from now it will be surprising.Too bad still a few good people here.

As far as I know, Harry did sell off most if not all of his antiques, but to my knowledge, it's because he's done with the trucks and is looking to move down to Florida, where he's apparently been building a new home. That's what I've heard anyway.

New Century is getting new trucks though....Some leased, some purchased. New 780 Volvos, Freightliner Cascadias, and Kenworth T700's.

Regardless, the anti-NCT rhetoric does get a bit old.....I'm pretty sure this section of the forum is for discussing matters regarding NCT, not for spamming stupidity and whining about a company you've never worked for. Just my opinion though, don't take it the wrong way.

Its all in what you're accustomed to and willing to put up with.No trucking job is perfect and very few are stable enough to be guaranteed tomorrow. As long as I can pay my bills, have a little left, and work is available...im good.So far I haven't had any problems reaching those requirements. Its called "work" for a reason.
