ABF | IBT Press Release On ABF Ballot Count

Yeah just like when the IBT "talked" to the Chicagoland yrc teamsters and then ripped up their white sheets
 
This sucks but it is what it is so let’s make the best of it and move forward. I hope the southern supplement is one that did not get approved and we can get a little back by making ABF change the supplement to our advantage.
 
Well, the Southern Supplement was one that passed. I am still trying to digest that the T/A passed. I wonder how I could be so wrong?

I might be wrong, but I believe the Rural areas throughout the system voted No because there are NO 24.51 now 22.79 per hour jobs. Jobs away from major cities & freight lanes are few & far between. And a good job with good benefits in a rural area is even harder to acquire. Just guessing but geography might have had a deciding role in the vote. Any thoughts on this? von
 
I believe you are correct. One steward who witnessed the vote count told me it was the small terminals, Carlisle, and the western conference that sealed it for us. We had an 80% ballot return but that the largest percentage of non returned ballots came from the western conference. I can’t say I blame the small terminals because it is hard to get a good job in rural America. I joined the military in 1981 in Morrow Mo. and there were no good jobs there. Even with a degree from the University of Missouri (Columbia) years later I could not find a good job. That experience makes it hard for me to blame the small terminals for the way they voted but I am still surprised and disappointed.

Yeah I remember. The ones that overwhelmingly shot down the strike authorization. How could I forget.

And again get your facts straight the vote count in sch was 148 yes for strike 68 no if you don't know the facts then don't comment just to start crap .but then again every time you open your mouth your ignorance comes out

So let me get this rite because we stood up for what's rite we take our jobs for granted ?how long have you been a teamster ? Or how long have you been in the management training program
