ABF | IBT Press Release On ABF Ballot Count

So how were we wrong for standing up for ourselves and explain your other post about us taking our jobs for granted .what were we supposed to do bend over and take it.and just so you know the union gave them our vacation the company didn't ask for it.

The way I see things and it is my opinion the only ones that got hurt in this whole thing was the rank and file the company gained and the ibt gained off our hard work and were the ones flipping the bill work more for less

Ever since Jeff slapped that moderator badge on your chest you've changed for the worse. You just itchin to hit the ban button.
My behavior hasn't changed any except that if one violates the rules they can be dealt with. I treat you no different than I have always treated Stoney when he acts like you do.

You and your coworkers voted it in red spottin. Your on the thiefs payroll? Quit if you feel so strong about the issue.
*******Rollin62, Do you have any idea what you're talking about here. How long have you been a Teamster since August? My fellow co-workers and myself at South Chicago "DID NOT" vote for it. "WE" were the ones that prevented it for as long as it was or did you not know this because you seem to be uninformed about the facts or are you just mentally challenged? And if by your juvenile comment of "YOUR (and its actually spelled YOU'RE) on the thief's payroll?" you are inferring that I am management, I just want to thank you for the laugh. Far from it Rookie. When you get somewhere near my years in the Teamsters then you can talk the talk. But you can't right now and it's evident by your inexperienced comments. I truly believe you are a "Wanna Be" so you are just TRollin around on these web sites thinking you're more knowledgeable and experienced then you really are. And to address your other comment "Quit if you feel so strongly about it" I can only say this to you junior. The reason I stay is because I "DO" feel so strongly about it and if you knew anything at all about being a Teamster you would recognize the fact that this is by far the most inferior contract that the Teamsters have ever been subjected to. I've negotiated numerous contracts on behalf of my local so I can make this statement from experience not ignorance like you. What you say and feel here actually means very little to everyone except you. Next time come back with something of substance so I can debate you on it and shove the facts in your face. Stop in by South Chicago and ask for "Red Spotter" and I'll introduce you to some of my "CO-WORKERS" that you think voted for this POS and then I'll watch you pee pee down your leg like a new puppy. And use "Spell Check" next time Einstein.

Funny how so many call him "Trollin62", I wonder why that is? I'll bet he can't figure it out either. Anyway, Rollin62 congratulations on continuing to build on your list of friends. I'd feel sorry for you if he was wrong and you were right but he's spot on. You, son, need to sit back, take a lesson or two and learn a little. It would be in your best interest in the long run.

Any advice on helping New Century becoming a Union Company on Dec 10 the vote is ? they need to UNITE and stand up for themselves ... 65 / 70 hours a week with no overtime and a family medical is costing 150.00 a week ....

If you wanna know why they call me balless come to chicago and I can buy you a beer. Yes I get payed for overtime and yes I pay union dues to the teamsters which in our last contract sold us out I now see no purpose in paying them for a job they no longer wish to perform. There are other unions out there do your homework and pick one that will help you the best because the way it stands now you will probably take a pay cut if you go with the almighty teamsters

The beer sounds good ! To late i was in the windy two weeks ago .. 107 out of Philly is helping use .. I see your point , everyday working men 14 hours and they had enough .. No pay increase going on seven years .. and the took back 5 % ..

Do not become a teamster!!!!!!! That union is dead

Actually they are quite powerful and relevant in the film industry. I always wondered how much in dues George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lopez have to pay. Think millions. Is Liam Neeson the BA because he has a very specific set of skills?

I am really torn on this one. On one hand I would love to see New Century vote to go union and I have done what I can in their forum to spread facts and dispel myths and rumors. However, I too am not only disappointed, I am disgusted with what the Teamsters have become. As it stands right now they have an election set for Tuesday December 10, 2013 involving the Teamsters and they would be better represented than they will be unrepresented. So...best of luck to them next Tuesday and I hope the vote is in favor of Teamsters representation. From there we can all work towards making things better for us all.

I also am disgusted with our int .with all the crap they pulled in the freight division hopefully it will finally bite them in the rear when election time comes around we need leadership that actually fights for the rank and file not just give in to all the company's needs and or wants.so while the company's and the ibt sit back in their cushy jobs and enjoy the fruit of our labor the rank and file will just plug along and try to make a honest living and hopefully will remember all of this and be more united come 2018 contract negotiations that's if they don't come back earlier

So let me get this rite because we stood up for what's rite we take our jobs for granted ?how long have you been a teamster ? Or how long have you been in the management training program
I think he never answered your question Boots. I am leaning towards him being management. And a poor example at that. He's sort of like a certain guy at SCH that runs his big mouth all the time. The only way he gets any attention or feels validated at all is to be controversial or nobody would ever talk to him. He feels sad and inadequate when around "Real Teamsters". So how long has he been a Teamster or how long has he been in the management program? I guess we'll never know because he now has selective laryngitis.

I'm afraid that we are helpless at this point with these guys but:

1)There are not enough of us to counter the apathy of the rest of the rank and file

2) I have yet to see a viable opponent step up to the plate. The retaliation from the IBT against any and all opponents suppresses any decent guys from stepping up and there are so many positions on the ticket that it's tough to get a full slate, which in turn is a problem.

This is true can't get a whole slate but remember if you cut the head of a snake off the body will die that's what needs to happen in our ibt get rid of the snakes in the ibt and the locals will fall inline
