If your in management I guess you are very happy with the voting results. If you are a driver give it a few weeks or months and I 'll guarantee you won't be so happy. My hat is off to all of the 'Real Teamsters" who voted NO to protect good decent jobs, and didn't believe all of the bullshi- that was thrown at them by the company and worst of all our own so-called representatives.
I can't say I'm happy. For the yes voters but the fact is everyone has there reasons we should be more upset with those who did not bother to vote.so I say now god help us all goin forward. And if I get to the point were I don't like being on candid camera then ill roll...
Both are real Teamsters. Both voted for what they felt was best for the union and ABF.

In my opinion, as the contractors start rolling through your gates, there will be lot more "crybabies"
15% less of the lane will take my bid yea unless someone retires no one ever does just say they will.
And 6% less work will affect more that u think
I hope I'm wrong

I've been living it. I can see your future each day. ABF started out wanting the world from you guys. The best of what YRC has and the best that UPSF has for themselves. They settled on their foot in the door all the way around. They will be back for more, it's just a matter of when. Watch our contract closely. Then you can see what's coming your way in 5 years if not sooner. Good luck going forward. This post is sincere, not sarcasm

The thing that made the difference between UPS Freight's rejection and ABF's ratification is that UPS Freight has been living it for five years. Just wait and ye shall see.
That's what I'm thinking. I'm worried about what this is gonna end up being after awhile. Cause it's always worse than the where the language started.
Bids are being abolished across the country, pension contributions cease on 7-1 in the west and as soon as the supplements are approved in the other regions those will cease as well . Maybe you forgot to read the "shared sacrifice" MOU? Managements pension was frozen and no contributions made in months. As soon as the company hits a 94 ratio pension contributions will be restored.

Remember we are professionals, we are some of the best in the transportation industry, and a lot of companies would be excited to have us. We made a decision as a group and as a group we have to live with the decision. I also believe we can make this work because we are the best in the industry. I have found that once a choice is made and I have started down the path it is best to have a positive attitude and do what I can to support the decision.
