Mandatory 30min break

Very true, Stonecold. Most guys are of the thought, though, from what I hear, that we are pushed to 1100+ cases, average about 17-21 stops, and now they see the breaks as a way to make the already almost 16 hour day longer. And potentially laying over. They want to get home to their wives and kids like everyone else.

I'm sure eventually some companies will see the benefit of routing these guys in workable runs that can be turned without the need to work through their breaks, right?

I live in western md. I have noticed sysco semi trucks parked and working out of a parking lot near my home. I was wondering how sysco operates and what they do there.

It's called a shuttle yard. They (and other companies that do the same) shuttle trailers from the main warehouse to yard, lot, etc. Drivers who live in the area run the deliveries. Where in Western Md are you?

Thanks double r, north side of cumberland just up the street from the drop yard.
Next time you are by the yard, look on the door of one of the tractors and see if it says Harrisburg, PA or Harmony, PA. That will tell you what warehouse you would have to contact about open positions.

Thanks again double r . Trucks have Virginia Sysco on bottom of doors. Mack tractors with virginia tags.
