what a screwed up terminal. I asked a p and d driver why they are getting back so late. he told me they are down 14 local drivers from 28 just 2 months ago, 5 l.h. drivers short. their t.m. quit 3 months ago who had been there 13 years and the new t.m. last 2 months. even worse , pam transport is doing 4 of their line haul runs. he also said drivers load their own trucks,l.h. and local. most of the dockworkers quit or got caught stealing. he also said their pickups and deliveries are being missed at a huge rate. even though they now have drivers from pitt and cha coming down the last 2 weeks to help them out. I told him most of the terminals I see are the same way. how about your terminal?
 
at the rate were going, it won't be hard to move the freight out of the system when it finally closes. hell, maybe they're slowly dismantling it right in front of our eyes.
 
Dallas is being run surprisingly well. We are down around 2 drivers but they are being replaced with some of the new dock trainees. If we get in a jam they let the TM hire a couple of temps. I must say that the TM has done a good job. I will give him credit when credit is due. He had a very rough start but he is starting to come around. Not that it will really matter unless we change directions very soon. And I'm talking about Vitran as a whole.

Yes he is new. He took over after the original FedX guys walked out on Chris. But at the rate we are going its all irreverent. Its just a matter of time before its over. I'm going down with the ship despite me shooting my mouth off from time to time. But me unlike many others, I will see it coming. And I'm OK with that.
 
i hear you R.T., so many customers have been burned that will never come back and word gets around as well. we're hanging on with freightquote and unishippers, fresh victims that don't know our reputation and freight nobody else wants to haul.
