Can someone tell me the hourly rate for a city driver at YRC? Starting rate, top rate and how long it takes to get there? The job is in the Philly, South Jersey, Delaware area if it matters.
They usually pay pretty good, but also you will lose union dues each time you get paid. I dont know what to say about pay except talk to one of their city drivers too get the facts straight or close to that. another question to ask is will i be on the dock or driving in the city. I work for FedEx Freight and my first year I was a City driver, and most of my city work was on the dock.. Good luck.
Top rate in Philly area is about $25.50/hr minus 15% for their give back. Think it's 85% start rate and not sure about casual rate and how they'll play you on that. And that 85% of $25.50 will be minus 15% of that figure. Then they don't pay your pension for a while either, not sure for how long though. Can someone tell me the hourly rate for a city driver at YRC? But there are different rates for casual workers and they have the ability to jerk you around as a casual for about three months. Thanks for info, appreciate it. baba, are you saying a new hire would start at 85%, and be at top rate after 2 years?
