The cost to retrofit was 100mill total THERE WAS A VID.....and the only way to bank time is not take any time off some of us only work for conway its not a way of life

no I am not! I NEVER try to get anyone fired. I even said to erase all info except what the email said. I will never try to get anyone fired.....even the douche I hate the most in this company.

charge of all freight handling tools, including further development of SafeStack. This is the first
position of this type at the corporate level and it has been put in place to protect the sizeable
investment the company has and will make in our ongoing effort to reduce claims and improve
customer service.

"Hal" is no kid. He is fourth generation Ford line worker who put himself through college. His promotion is into a new position designed to get SafeStack back onto the fast-track within our company. He's a "boots on the ground" kind a guy. Through resignations and promotions nobody was minding the store. With the sizable investment of SafeStack it only makes sense to focus on continual development of our assets.

All right I was wrong but I was thinking young since the fmt is mainly for people out of college never thought of someone older going through the program. But merdock I agree the safestack program needs to be maintained I personally like the system. It was wrong of me to make assumptions and I apologize.

I spent a couple hours with the man the other day and I think he will be very "user friendly" in his role. Any ideas on making our loading processes better? The man is all ears.

Conway might already have this but what about an computer application that can analyze all the pick ups for the day and then recommend the what headloads to build at the origin.

Linehaul does that already. They have been doing this for years.. it is called a build sheet .. not all terminals follow the build sheet ..
 
Used to be able to get on computer and see what was coming out of the city to build your headloads accordingly. The old green screen!!!
 
That's nice when you have a SCM that tells you something. We, linehaul DSR's never have any meetings, and we only find out things by going to the FAC's.
 
When we started this company, we had to go a year without vacations to earn vacation for the next year. This is a fact, we had to earn it. Now what we earned, was taken away.
So what we have to do in 2012, is not take some of our weeks and carry them over to 2013, so you dont go into the negative. Thus, they stole more weeks again. Whatever you have to carry over to 2013 are weeks your having stolen again, you'll never get them back.
How is it fair that drivers who have retired, economically terminated, lost their jobs to closing terminals in the past years, all recieved their vacation time they earned in a paycheck, but us employees still working will get nothing?
I find it amazing some of the drivers on here, just go with the flow, "thats the way it is, if you cant bank some time for the next year you have a problem". And you people are the reason they keep doing what they do to us. Believe me, this company can easily afford not to do what they did. They could have afforded not to keep stealing our vacation time. They chose to for profit.
