well when I leave on my run every morning , I watch the train go by with dozens of YRC and UPS trailers on it and one FEDEX trailer on it. so no I don't think they are.
But those yrc trailers on the train didn't leave a yrc driver at home. That fedex trailer did.
How is that? Clearly somebody could be employed to pull that trailer.
How many drivers are on your board today compared to five years ago? Ten years ago? YRC has drivers sitting at home and yes some because of the rail.. They're called unemployed. Yes we have drivers sitting. Not making what they made last year, But.....They're still employed. But those yrc trailers on the train didn't leave a yrc driver at home. That fedex trailer did.

Those nice rusty old P trailers (the ones that used to say AF on them) would break in half when they got lifted onto or off of the train.
Think I just passed gas....

2nd - bull****. Tell your story to the over 50 drivers in the last 2 years no longer at FedEx in KC.

Apologies to the 50 and all the rest through the system.
I was only trying to debunk his claim that rail was hurting us but not them.......
Actually I drive for holland. We haul all of our freight. But even then they are restricted in how much they can contract out. How much is fedex restricted to? 60%? 70? 99%? I guess you will find out.
50 good, dedicated men and women that I was lucky enough to call friends, that are out of a job so that we can keep putting our freight in the hands of driver's who could give two *****s about this company.1st - stop feeding the troll.

Fred, do I dare assume you are a P & D driver? Or possibly management? Because that is the only way I can see someone being so cavalier in stating the fact that we are still employed. Sitting at home employed doesn't pay the bills, sir. And we certainly can't go out and get part time jobs. The fact that they sit drivers at home, all while piling 30,000+lbs of freight on a purchase van, is, well, morally bankrupt. Like I've said before.Saying trailers on the rail doesn't lead to fewer drivers makes as much sense as a Democrat saying food stamps and unemployment checks help the economy........
Huh? Gotta help me with that one.
