I ran into a Bensenville driver yesterday on the Indiana Toll Road and he said Vitran is building a brand new terminal in Joliet. He says it's going to replace Markham. Any truth to this?

I also talked to a friend of mine who works at Dayton Freight and he said they had a meeting Thursday telling the drivers that Vitran was going out of business and to give a sales lead to the sales people the companies that Vitran has accounts with so they can try and steal the business away. I thought that should be like taking candy from a baby.

Probably to supplement Markham. Building the hub in Joliet would be a bad move. Then again this is Key-hole we are talking about.

been to markham? it is a s**t hole, no way to lock it down so freight walks away, bullet holes in office wall and window edge from low life nightclub at end of the street.

Not building a new terminal in Joliet, they moving into the old pjax terminal in Chicago. It's over on 31st and St. Louis. I know cause I'm a linehaul driver out here in chi/bensenville a lot of guys are excited cause they live on the south side of the city. It's closer to me but its a piece of crap so ill stay right here. Our ops manager is transferring there. Their mainly going to supplement markham from what we've been told. Suppose to open in early september

Isn't this old PJAX barn an old Conway barn. If this is what I think it is, you are correct about it being a piece of $hit.

google says it is .7 miles from Cook County Jail,,, so much easier for employees to get to work and home than markham was :dance:
