The aluminum rim may flex on the outside areas of the rim.....not in the middle... but either an over tightened or under tightened lugnut could bust a stud.....I VERY HIGHLY doubt a rim "flexing" would do what you stated.
With all you Driver/mechanics-enginers on this thread. I think we should ad a economist, where is the 7 cent per mile the company has taken from us ? Let us not forget the other cuts. Any of you old enough to remember the saying, " the difference between a Hand and a Freighthauler " 10 cents per mile. "Shine -e wheels" gimmie a break.
