It wasn't an easy choice to walk away from this fight but, after a lot of discussions and debating, I feel it is the right choice...If the majority is willing to allow, if not participate in what has been going on, to accept and allow the excuses that we have all heard instead of standing up to fight for what is right, to protect what our For-Fathers fought and some died for, it really doesn't matter how strong you feel or to what ends the minority is willing to go to, the fight is already over...

To my Brothers that have and are standing up, it has been an Honor to stand with each and every one of you...to the rest, maybe when ya loose every thing, you'll appreciate what others fought so hard for so you and your family's could enjoy.

There are jobs out there and from what I've found, better jobs than what we have now so if anyone that has stood and put their necks out on the line want to drop me a line, I'll drop in every now and again and do my damnedest to help any way I can,

Good by and good luck to everyone,
Frank “little d”

With respect, who is the new lucky employer little d?

Good luck and best wishes in what the future holds for you. Sorry to see another brother who understands what the FIGHT is depart the battle.

Thanks Little D for your input. My thoughts exactly. Armed with the knowledge that there are at least 8 union employers in my area that can use an experienced CDL driver, I took a VLO with YRC late last year. Recently, my terminal went through the entire seniority list for all CDL drivers. I was recalled on a Friday, to which I immediately showed early in person the following Monday to resign, prior to my start time at my new employer. Like you, I wish everyone well. Goodbye and good luck!!!

STICKWITHIT,
because this is an open form and there are those out there that....well, are less then honorable, I will have to pass on saying who I'm going to work for right now but, here is a small list of company's that are hiring...class A with tanker and haz-mat endorsements;
1. Plains All American pipeline
2. High Sierra Energy
3. Mercuria Energy Trading
4. Sunoco Logistics (S.E. Texas)
5. Pacer
6. Mission Petroleum
7. Eastex ( S.E. Texas)
8. Gibson (lease purchase)
and, THEKAG.com (REFRIGERANT)
Most of these I've found on the internet, some from other forms and some from news paper adds.
And let me add this....They friggin love us because for the most part we are very safety conscience and we don't job hop...They don't mind training us because we will stick around.

Mud and Cab,
since I'm still working I'll add, security, real benefits and a living wage that I can actually provide a decent living for my family....

To everyone else, thank you for the well wishes, it means a lot to me, again...Good Luck,
Frank (packing sucks...I swear, this crap has bread while I wasn't watching!) little d

Best wishes for you.I continue to work here and pay dues.i like to go to the union meetings at my local and ask real pertinent questions and watch my leaders squirm for answers.if we would all show up to our local meetings. And ask real strong questions.sooner than later the leaders will have to put up or shut up.alot of us are too passive nowadays.

Good luck Little d I am glad to hear it. I know that there is more to life than the freight industry but once we're here we're kind of stuck here, mostly by our own design. It is good to hear a success story amidst all this bad news.

Best of luck to you little d. I made my mind up to move on also. Will start interviews monday. The stuff going on here is unforgiveable. I hope that the people who hang on with yrc make out ok. Its a hard fight just to bring myself into work everyday. It should not be that way but it is. What a shame.

Best of luck to you little d! I hope that you find a nice place to work and wish you nothing but the best. This nightmare has been pretty terrible for a lot of us and the only positive has been meeting and working along with some really great Teamsters. I'm happy to see some retire but it's also sad to think that you won't enjoy their company at the yard. Good luck to little d and the rest of you who may have found a better place to work. Take care and God bless.
