This is good news I have really hoping for a shake up in upper management .I have been seeing a lot of really stupid **** happening lately well more than the usual anyway.

Yellow Freight System did not buy Roadway Express. Yellow Corp. bought Roadway Corp. Yellow Freight System and Roadway Express were eventually merged together forming YRC Freight.

REALLY PEOPLE?...Do we need to rehash all that S*** after 4 years....get over it....move on!....KK

The management "teams" of the two companies joined together and figured out how to lose money TWICE as fast as before and still get a hefty paycheck for doing it.

Don't you mean 'pocket money'?

And depending on your perspective, it's either "The Good Ship Lolipop" or the "HMS Titanic".

Its the titanic but the ship has already hit the iceberg, and we had been dumped into the shark infested waters. Hanging on to anything that will float, wondering what's next ?

Ya...who cares anymore.
We float or sink all on the same ship now.

Thats right....it all in the hands of investors and banks now.....time will tell....meanwhile, I am getting it while I can.

Prepare for the worse, and hope it never happens!.....KK

I spent 28 years working for Roadway Express. Then they merged and moved my terminal into the local Yellow Freight terminal where I worked for six months before I retired. Those Yellow dog guys were some of the best people I have ever worked with.

Sounds rather like what the crewmen of the Titanic were saying to each other while listening to the ship's band just before the "unsinkable" ship went under. History repeats itself. Bruce Ismay, president of Titanic's White Star Line, survived the sinking of his ship. while most of his employees died. Kinda sounds like Yellow Freight's past history and probably it's future, while the CEO's, COO's and the upper management people "survive" the ultimate "sinking" of YRC, the rest will drown when the company goes down.

I realize its 'work' and not supposed to be 'fun'.....but when a company intentionally treats its employees like dirt time after time and shows no care for you or your family, that's probably a good sign that you are on a sinking ship. Theres no future for a company when its workers finally lose faith and all feel like short timers. Our supervisor is over his head and we never see the TM. Im not a fortune teller but things aren't good. It pains me to have a bad attitude for a co. that's provided for me for so long, but this aint't the job it was. Can anyone disagree with that ? Where I work they will attempt to force us to work 12 and 14 hour days and in the very same conversation threaten to lay-off 'very soon'. What management ??!?!

What's next is another losing quarter. Then they will resurect another yellow flunkie and give him the president position. He will proclaim that yrc is moving in a new direction and will get back to the basics. The koolaid drinkers will bow down to their new messiah. A coo will follow resulting in a loss of jobs, closure of terminals, delay of freight, and customers leaving. The shrinking of the company continues while as many golden parachutes as possible are sewn together.

More like a step backwards then forward, seems all they know is how they use to do it not how to move it forward.........................

However before welch left the comp was doing very it was a money maker. Then the meglomanic made acquisitions. He's trying!
