a high percentage of people at my terminal expect the worst case scenario when our new master comes to call, how is it at your terminal. very few are buying the spin from the company and most expect to re-apply for their jobs, lose senority, vacations and possibly pay

The sales team already had to turn in their updated info so they could start Monday as CT. Got the paperwork on Thursday and had to be back in by today so it could be final for Monday.

At my terminal it seems that high seniority, not all of them, are believing what is being said. I think it is more wanting it to be true.

The new hires are excited and bright-eyed like like Bob Barker just said to them, "YOU, just won...A NEW CAR!"

The middle folks who have worked with no raise for six years or less are probably the most skeptical.

Very few folks, including myself, are responding with logic. It is mostly an emotional response in my opinion.

Jan 1 the truth will be revealed. CT isnt going to drop the hammer on us going into the busiest time of the year and risk a mass departure of drivers.

At my terminal we're hearing the exact same speech we heard when Vitran bought Pjax. The ones who were around then are just hanging out waiting to see what the changes are going to be. If we like them we stay if we don't we leave. I do know if they us we are losing any money and senority is not dove tailed a lot of drivers will be walking out the at the end of the speech.

Indeed. Cannot believe how they ran this company into the ground. Truly hope they rot for what they did.

I sure hope with this buyout we can get beyond the "they sure did run this company into the ground statements" (and yes I hear that from both sides)

the more I hear about central, the worse it gets.Lower pay, cheap insurance and a few other things. At this point just lay me off for the winter.I am tired of the B.S. first it was with pjax and the hammels, then vitran, now this guy moran or however its spelled.if I don't get to keep what we have struggled for in 11years here, then screw it I am done.no one in management knows a damn thing and all we have is this internet CB called truckingboards.if anyone has positive stuff let me know. They are taking runs and miles off of us and I believe it will only get worse with new mgmt.I run the tpke thru pa and maybe see 1 or 2trucks from central.where do they run.Anyone know that.i wish we would get someone in mgmt. who could tell you the truth about stuff. We have three main managers and they all could be a star in the movie"Clueless".ok done bitchin now cya,"happy motoring'

i could see c.t. pulling accts to their terminals and letting others go that they don't want, drivers get knocked down to 40 hrs a wk in hopes we leave or make unemployment checks small. drivers who are in for the long haul better pray that drivers bail so they get some hours. i already see a drop in freight, but a drop in drivers as well. i see 90% of vitran employees having new jobs in 2014. the change will do us all good. they want to keep you in the dark because it's all bad, if this was good for us they would be holding meetings explaining the positives to us.

Dammit "had enough", don't be so negative. There is no way 90% of Vitran employees are going to be gone, you know that so stop stirring it up. Perhaps 40% will be gone but no way 90%. And for us that drive a truck, it is very important to keep all the accounts so we have freight to pick up and deliver. Remember this, if CT had not bought us we would all have been unemployed by Halloween.

sorry pops, i will start to think positive. i can't wait to move to c.t. with my same pay, three wks of vac, b.c.b.s. ins and same start time. i will think happy thoughts.

even 40 % is a very sad situation what difference is it to those who will lose their jobs how they lost them end result unemployment
