Hi Everyone,
P&D since 1986. Some outfits I hauled for include: Dunkin Donuts North East DCP, Ryder (CVS) account, Mega Trans (TJ Max) account and the US Postal Service.

Before u ask, why leave the Postal Service?,,,, I only had two years in and they were cutting back hrs. when you have min. tome in your labeled as a (PTF) part time flex working full time hrs. but only assured 4 hrs.,,, so they had me working 4hrs. a week forcing me to take the Early Out Incentive. Basically a cash payment to scram!:moon2:

I am trying to get into A. Duie Pyle and would like to ask you all here for any advise as to the interview, I have the experience and also have driven many overnight shifts, so any advise given I can assure you isn't going to a newbie with high hopes.

I applied for the P&D at the Johnston RI Terminal. I would have rather the line haul but wife and I are expecting a child soon:1sm364jumpbed: and I can't be away right now.

Any help on all the right to say would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

make sure you did not fudge the ppwk too much, they always find out. Heard there was a lot of appliacnts up in RI.

Haven't fudged the paperwork at all. I don't take the chance. If I don't get in I will keep trying. I have a lot of years of day and night van driving under my belt with out a single accident or indecent so I am hoping for the best. I have read a lot of great driver reviews and want to spend the rest of my years working for a decent employer and good fellow drivers.

Surprised they didnt hire you yet. Adp is doin their best to overstaff us. Very soon we ll be lucky to see 45 hrs. 8 and skate.

you'll be fine fooy!! by the way eight and skate would be a forty hour work week, at least when I went to school!

Dont get smart. U know what exactly what im saying. We're overstaffed. Wait till allentown opens and the one in new york and then southern md. We're becomeing just like the rest. We used to be the cream of the crop. Same as the rest just different colored trucks.

I have a TWIC and STCW-95, and I'm willing to get any other certs required. I am trying to get any kind of work I can so that I can acquire sea time. I'm willing to go anywhere to do this, too. I will work extremely hard with no complaints for this opportunity. I'm humble, mature, and just want to learn.

8 and skate, not likely. This is the trucking industry after all and with the business we currently have with more coming on board 50 to 55 hrs a week is still likely to be the norm. Keep trying DROCK there is just a back log of applicants to reveiw and since we only have orientations for new drivers every other week it takes a little time to get everyone interviewed and processed. Good luck

I dont know about you, but I'd rather be expanding and moving into terminals than "like the rest" and selling them off. I like not worrying about if the gates will be locked tomorrow when I show up to work. In todays world status quo doesnt cut it.

Those gates wont get locked anytime soon. Good luck with the job driver. It is a great company to work for. They just **** me off sometimes. Everything pyle has they own. They dont owe the bank squat. That in itself is a great thing. You shouldnt have a problem getting hired with what you bring to the table.

Did you try Transport, the truckload side?? Home every weekend, maybe during the week depending where you live and where the load is heading

I understand the pissed off. I feel that way sometimes just seeing whats going on, but you know what? It's still a pretty decent place to work. Anyway being pissed off is part of being a truck driver. We just got to learn to roll with it.

Still not even a (We have selected some else) email? I just don't get it? Here I am: Super Clean DMV,, Never ever even been arrested(Clean Background),, Never ever even so much as put a scratch on any equipment in since 1986.

What gives with this company, not so much as a sorry email ????????

it is possible that they got swamped with applications and had too many to choose from. Heard the unemployment rate in RI was high.

I would call the recuiter that's based in carteret directly. Honestly I don't think there were many openings in that terminal to begin with and i know we have filled some spots in the last 2 months. But not returning your calls or even an e-mail? I don't understand that myself.

keep trying ADP is the BEST truckin company to work for around I have worked for them all I have found A home with ADP plenty of hours good people to work with. Try talking to Nate Miller he is good people he will help you if you fit with the job you are looking for
