OK so we haven't started the whole people net switch over yet. So other than the obvious GPS tracking and Log Book application how does it affect City? Do we have a new Handheld similar to OD and Conway? Since we turn our trucks off at stops must we wait until the system reboots itself before leaving for our next stop? What differences are there between the Intermec and People Net? Does it have GPS navigation with directions to stops? I know that no matter if we like it or hate it, it is the wave of future operations. So good points and bad points and go.

From the city drivers please if there are any on here. None of that he said she said.

People Net is useless for the city we still use same old hanheld we were told new system for putting in your bills will come later. No navigation to stops but they know were you are. It just makes sure you get to take a lunch now and will tell you that you are going to fast or you had a sudden hard brake

No more telling your TM, "I didn't take my lunch break".... Now you have proof..... It won't let you skip it.... I've heard, that the handhelds will not be used anymore in the near future.. The PN will do it all for you...

As a linehaul driver, I love it....

Has of working City with peoplenet for almost 4 yrs now.I can say not much difference.I love it.No more filling out log's.My day consist of logging in system in morning.Putting myself on-duty.Adding tr info.Show a pre-trip&on my way.Duty status changes on it's on.our's switch's duty status after 3 min's at stop point. It switch's to driving after 2 mile's.Put myself off duty for my lunch break.Have to show a inter-trip during day&any other tr. info that changes. Then at end of shift show a post-trip&log out. That's it.Love it.It will take a little to get us to.But,I know you will get the hang of it fast.Good Luck my fellow driver.Stay Safe out there
