XPO | Con-way Freight to Donate Historic Tractor to Iowa 80 Museum

where has it been all this time? They should have donated it to the pacific northwest museum thats where CF truck 10-1 is and they have a cabover hooked to a complete set.

Is this the truck that sat at the old XGO when we used to go up there for orientation and the five year deal?

I think it's pretty neat that the original driver of the truck still works here and will attend the event - that's pretty cool in my opinion.

Once upon a time, CCX was something to be proud of. Guess I'm not surprised our leaders are getting rid of her.

A lot of blood, sweet, and tears went into its restoration at the Cleveland OH shop.

Sorry to barge into your forums. Here is the picture
It surely was a sight to behold for the newbie driver visiting G.O for orientation.
When I first went to G.O, manual steering was the complaint, but after looking at the inside of this truck,
we really had it good.

Yep....that warm feeling CCX gave us. Its all gone though...Oh well. I wonder whos idea it was to restore the truck from the get go.

When I read the headline for the article I got excited with the thought Mr. Detter would attend. But I quickly lost my smile when I read that the previous president of CCX that would attend would be Mr. Miller. Oh well, still good to see the old unit come out of storage... the truck that is, not Miller.

Compared to many of our trucks now, she's got plenty left in her. That old girl should be painted with some blue stripes and put back on l/h to get another half-million miles on her.
