Yellow | Here is what the company is going to put up for vote?

As far as inflation Rate I was reading somewhere, maybe AARP that those numbers are a little misleading for many of us as they include things the average person does not use. Get milk, ground beef and fill the tank and I'm all inflated out. Sorry no links to prove my opinion.

That's your problem right there Wolf. Switch to beer, chicken and ride your bicycle! :biglaugh:

PS - And these are healthier choices to boot!

You're absolutely right, Wolf good call. No links required. The numbers are terrible...but it's how the US measures inflation. For example economists decided not to include fuel in the price index because it moves around too much or something...

I agree stand up for once! The company owes 1.4 mil if they close what's there to sell nothing except garbage. The banks are getting something if they close its nothing. Yellow has never had money they have managed to survive being broke for years claiming loses and filing bankruptcy but they don't want to do that this time, why is that, because you open books so why not feed off the weak! They have sold everything including the chinese company 3 months after the MOU deals where did that money go, funny how they bought it at the begining of this crap and sold it right after, both YFC and Holland made money this year, but why not ask for more because they can and the weak will say yes!

If the company tries to file for bankruptcy under any chapter. The federal bankruptcy judge will throw them out.Just like the other two times yrcw tried to file.As long as the company is paying their creditors the minimum required and meeting their obligations.Which they are.

Not understanding grade school curriculum is not the problem. I understand when the price of milk has tripled, eggs are $2.00 a dozen. Gas is at an all time high. What do they base this study on? Must be the price of TV's. I believe what I see everyday not what some people that work for this corrupt government tell me. :ranting2::ranting2:

Gotta make the numbers look good if they are to have any chance at all of a 'Legacy', which is all they are going for.... That and money from lobbyists.....

Will they be when the balloon payments come due? The one article says they have 170 Million on hand, with a 67 million payment due in Feb. If they are losing money, how much is payroll? Plus the normal 160 million in interest? I don't know, but I'm a truck driver. They have lawyers and accountants. I'm sure they have a plan.....

Funny how you joined just after all this started. After the vote is over you will dissapear. Just like other company plant posters did on the last mou. You aren't a driver, you are management. We get enough of your propaganda in the mail, and you can take all of it and shove it.

Well, after the vote is over we all may disappear because there is a fair chance we won't be teamsters anymore. Unless LTL issues are your hobby…fortunately they aren’t mine.

This is the first time my local has failed so completely that I had to get all of my information from a forum (but sincerely, thanks guys! it sure beats being kept in the dark) rather than at meetings or from the IBT and TDU. Also, I've never been as worried about the outcome before. I just thought this time I might as well throw in my two cents - at least I have a different take on some of these issues. So why not join in the fray?

We clearly disagree - but being one of those "sheep" everyone worries about, I'm just trying to understand the shut her down argument because for the life of me I don't understand how it would help anyone involved.

Plus these posts have been great entertainment around the dinner table. My kids even follow it now and we argue about some of the issues...and laugh about some of the responses. So thank you for thinking I have what it takes to be management - maybe I too can run a company into the ground...multiple times? There is hope for a second career after all...
