LVL merged terminals Dec 2nd... HahahahahahahHa... We are crashing and burning! Dock is buried, freight ain't moving, drivers standing around because leadership don't know what to do. I finally got a run and it's only 7 skids, and few stops.

If this is "seamles"s.... I'd hate to see what it'd be like if it wasn't.

Heard next week we will merge and bring our tablets with us, so we can deliver the Vitran freight. Then use the handheld to make pickups, just wonder if we get paid more for multi-tasking. Lol

And where is LVL? I saw three trucks at one shipper yesterday. One blue and white front to rear, one blue front and yellow rear and one yellow front to rear. All long trailers, could have been 53's even. That shipper definitely didn't need all that and I had to wonder what was going on. Might have been in LVL area.

reminds me of vitran/pjax merger. merry go round time.

in my opinion this is much worse, when we merged with Vitran you didn't have two different companies going in to pick up the others freight, and we were still on paper so it didn't matter who's pro was on the freight, but with the dolphins if its not in the ct system with a ct pro it can't be delivered.

i remember before vitran and pjax merged into same terminals we had similar problems of one company picking the others up, more vitran picking pjaxs than vise versa.

From a sheer volume standpoint, it can't be easy to merge to trucking companies together.

When the deal was sealed, Vitran was doing around 11,000-12,500 bills a day. I heard CT was doing about 9,000 or so.....with probably 25-30 more terminals. I don't think CT realized how much freight Vitran was really doing.

Its a complete mess. MSP is buried under, DAL is starting to get a little better, but not in clear, good luck in ATL, MEM is a complete mess, CHI, MKM and RKI have no clue whats in the yard.

I heard that it is taking around 25-40 minutes to have somebody pick up a phone to check on a PU or a PRO at Vitran, and forget about CT, that is one place where you could never get a answer.

I just hope everyone lands on their feet.....except the boys in purple.

In revenue i heard we were #7 and CT was #12 at the time of the purchase, now combined I would guess we are around #5 or so, pretty big jump from12 to 5 very overwhelming. and considering CT in certain areas doesn't exactly have a stellar reputation and Vitran drivers are jumping ship, makes the transition even harder. I know including myself in Det there have been a dozen or so that have jumped ship in the last 2-3 months, I personally was just to burned out from all the stress the last couple of years to ride out another merger/buyout.

bill count will soon be manageable due to accts leaving from poor service. should've just left most of vitran terminals alone and rebadged everything, then slowly merge them together.

MSP is a total nightmare according to my PM's....The absolutely worst in the system. Dallas is getting better but not nearly fast enough.

LVL is still blown out...lol, no relief in sight.

Dock is full, trailers are full, P&D trailer aren't gettin broke.. Our big accounts freight ain't moving.. Got a feeling our TM's head is on chopping block already. It's failing...failing epically.

Any ideas on how the ship can be righted or do you guys think it cant be bailed out?
LVL is one terminal. The terminal in my city is moving freight efficiently. I'm sure many others are doing bad and good and everything inbetween.

Clearly the terminal managers are impacting how each terminal fairs. It's just a matter of time before they all figure it out.

It will all work out in time.....If you can get beyond the image of this company it's not really such a bad job...It's really a lot like working at Vitran, kind of laid back and not as bad as everyone says....It will never be an OD or Southeastern. But it is a job and the checks are good....If your looking for that perfect image....it's probably best that you leave.

If you are looking for something as good as mediocrity you should best leave.
