On the lot at 640 there are 23 NEW 53 foot trailers all tagged
REDDAWAY....any one know why they are there? Is this more of Mr. Welches mind games?

Probably not, just holding them there and being moved later. Other terminals do it and it's just not YRC, a lot of LTL companies do that.

Not new, refurbished. Heritage Roadway used to do this in the past. Put new boxes on rebuilt running gears to keep registration costs low. One went through our terminal. Had the Supervisor do a trace and it was a registered 2007. Do not know if it was heritage Reddaway or other. LOOKS new.
 
I dont know about that Elwood, we got one in at Holland about a week ago and it was factory clean, still could smell the wood floor when the door was opened.. We were told the regionals would be getting brand new trailers, some in May of 13 and the rest in Nov-Dec of 13

Yes, 309 loaded us one direct, and we loaded it right back to 640. LOOKS like a brand new trailer, but it had a 2007 registration.

Brand new box attached to refurbished running gears keep the registration costs low and company still gets the write off for repairs.

Check the VIN on the chassis, that is the key. They even get new plates.
