merry christmas & happy holidays cant we all get along
to every one holiday wishes. especially to those that have love ones & friends defending are country, over seas... may they come home safe , thanks to all my veterans that proudly served as I did, and to all teamsters who try to be good members participating at all levels, and the stewards that really dedicate them self's and give up a lot of there free time to help members, and educate them about work rules and NMFA thank you
in closing we all can agree on two things........ that this situation isn't where we want to be .....and are union leaders have let us down for along long time
I would encourage you to get involved and informed ,pension reform is coming 2014 very important
cast your vote, clean our house and bring in new people to lead us, and leaders that do a better job being involved with there members and informing them
YOUR UNION IS ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS MEMBERSHIP
in closing no matter how you voted, you all had your reasons, to vote the way you did
if the yes voters win
we will have to hope that this will give us the ability to get new equipment & technology and 5 years of job security and the economy stays good and it will help more guys get there 20/25/30 in to retire....remember there's no guarantee on what pension reform may do to are pension even if yrcw was paying in full
if the no voters win
I hope the company is playing a mind game where they we WIN either way get the new mou ,better try it help quicken the turn around
if it doesn't pass the company says the union will think they WON a morale victory and we will have happy workers and will comeback during the next 6-8 months with extending the current MOU FOR 5 YEARS and they still get what they wanted 5 years locked in
or plan C they close the doors between the ballot count and the September big payment and we all lose,
also I try to educate you and myself , make people think ,the more we talk the more we are exposed to ideas
the old saying two heads are better then one
so as a group together we can bring more ideas and thoughts to make us more informed on things
most things seam black or white but very few are.... so a good healthy conversation can bring in things we all may have never considered which is a good thing which make us realize are thought process was wrong and admit to are self's we where wrong , or miss informed etc
so that is what I try to bring I sometimes don't always do the best job or let emotion over take rational thinking but its human nature
but are goal is the same
