We pay union dues to represent us.why or how could you vote yes to a 100% company proposal that has never been negotiated by our union on our behalf. Unreal.TM and OM were pleading at Fridays pre-shift for the remaining votes. The office I is putting out the early polls are showing a 65-35 no vote. They are saying if this continues we are doomed.
This whole proposal, both company and union "smells to high heaven." I can't vote for this and I'm glad I held off sending in my ballot with my initial feelings. I guess my problem with this is the trust factor with union and company. We were made to believe this proposal was going to to have 0 givebacks and only an extension. What a lie. From our local to the IBT there is no offering of advisement or information from our board members as to the actual conditions the company faces. BOARD MEMBERS DO THEY NEED THIS? EARN YOUR MONEY PLEASE. YOUR NOT A SILENT PARTNER.
Are the votes counted as they come in? I thought they would be all counted at once?

If you are doomed it's already in the process. Have they said anything about the details of the refinance? What have they done after the first concessions?
Now they come back for more and threaten to shut it down if every body doesn't give again.
At least be honest about it and to yourselves. All they are doing is buying a little more time and giving out those still large bonuses and salaries. They don't give a rip about the working man.
All of those with at least 5 years or more can make more towards your retirement at another company. As far as working union compared to a nonunion company is there really much difference now?
I can say that with what's going on at UPSF and what the union doing for us. Only a fool would believe in the union right now and I don't say that lightly.
This post isn't to promote a yes or no vote. But as far as the union and YRC and UPSF and ABF we shouldn't have any rose colored glasses on...
Maybe one day we'll all stick together like brothers...

I just hope and pray that the majority of this company are Strong, Fed Up Teamster Brothers VOTING NO.
I hope and pray that there are only a small percentage of you Spineless, Weak, Scared, Welch Loving Puppets that work for this company.... Do us a favor... Don't mail your ballot.... Take the ballot and stick it up your asses..... Go crawl under a rock till we get this proposal sent back where it came from... Then you can crawl back out from underneath that rock and play like you had something to do with it.... IDIOTS.

Oh! He has showed up alright. It's just been 15 years since he has done anything for the working man. (You know the due payers) Instead he has put all his effort in helping the government and big greedy corporations. All the teamsters are is another big greedy corporation that only cares about themselves.
They have proven this to us at UPSF. They would rather see us create another line haul classification at 38 cents a mile and $15.00 dollars an hour. Telling us this would replace the contract carriers. That is how stupid and desperate they think we are.
We all are going to have fight against a meager existence union and nonunion. Who knows maybe the trucking industry will come together without a union. And it wouldn't take weeks or months of unions negotiating a contract. You would be amazed how fast this country would negotiate with the country shut down.
