The IBT has, does, and will continue to ENFORCE the limits on ANY purchased transportation. Whether it's US Express, Covenant, Mom & Pop Cartage, or the Burlington Northern. YRCW will be allowed up to 6% of total miles to be PURCHASED TRANSPORTATION. What do you think the reason for rail traffic is? IMBALANCE. That will apply equally to ANY other purchased transportation. The heritage companies, as well as, YRCW have been using all forms of purchased transportation for as long as I can remember (27 years).

It does state that the union will be able to monitor from the schedule 300 of DOT/FMCSA mileage reporting form starting in 2014 how many miles were done with PT. If the union does not do their part to watch this on behalf of road drivers, shame on them.

8. True you probably can find a job with comparable pay but you wont find the benefit package that we presently enjoy.
9. The debt has increased from 1.2 to 1.4 billion from the inability to make 100% of the interest payments.
10. Welch's so called "plan b" was taken entirely out of context. He had to cover for Piersons statement about bankruptcy.
If the union doesn’t consent, which Welch doesn’t think is likely, the company then will meetwith lenders and try and work on “the best possible course for the company.” Welch said YRC
is “not even thinking about” bankruptcy.Which part was taken out of context?
11.Some of the lenders do not care if we vote yes or no. They have received $750 million + - in interest and will make out with the liquidation. So vote yes and their happy and vote no and they don't care either.Fear Mongering
12. The regionals will not be sold.

If they endorse this then we tell them you shoved a substandard contract down our throat. If they tell us to vote no and they shut the doors then we blame them for the doors shutting. So it's a no win situation for them ( and us ).
If you think I talk to people to help out my fellow "BROTHERS" guess again. I try to find the truth out to keep "MY FAMILY" taken care of and out of harms way.
If I can share some of my information with my "BROTHERS" and they find it helpful than I am glad to do it. But again that is not my motivation. I am tired of trying to tell people the truth and then being **** on for it. 3 years of this crap at St.Johnsbury, 5 years of this crap here----I AM TIRED OF IT !!!!!!!!!! I have never been a conformist and I am not going to change now. What's it say in Proverb's "wisdom cries aloud in the streets but no one will listen" or something like that. My son's in prison, I have his family living here with us so I don't really have much time for BS. If you want to call me names go right ahead it's a free country. But after thinking long and hard about this for 4 days I felt I could not lay my head down at night without at least sharing this with you.

^^^^No matter what the situation is the IBT should REPRESENT ITS MEMBERS. Take a stand ! Thats what they are paid for ! This is the problem with this situation....THE RANK AND FILE ARE CONTINUALLY ASKED TO ALLOWED MANAGEMENT & THE IBT TO TAKE ACTIONS WHICH ARE ( UN ETHICAL @ BEST )
At some point this must stop.....If jobs are lost and lives are disrupted ( this will be nothing new ) Past Teamsters lost LIVES to establish what current TEAMSTERS
seems so eagerly to give back. A IBT WHICH DOES NOT EXPRESS ITS OPINIONS TO A PROPOSAL WHICH DIRECTLY IMPACTS ITS MEMBERS ; IN MY HUMBLE OPINION IS NO IBT @ ALL !.......take it for what it worth 2 U !

What about Speedy Transport? Canadian carrier that comes into the Buffalo NY terminal everyday. Those trailers are packed to the roof with Holland's freight! Speedy is as non union as you can get!

I understand your position but with all due respect I cannot vote yes to anything that creates second class Teamsters! I don't give a damn what other's pay their dockworkers WE ARE TEAMSTERS! EVERY MEMBER GETS THE SAME RATE OF PAY! PERIOD!
They would have been better off giving NOBODY a raise the last three years! At least that would have been "Equal Sacriface"
 
Oh and one more thing.

A friend of mine wants to know what happened to the 7% YOU said we were gonna get back reported by "YOUR" friend in the know?
 
most of you weren't around when yellow went bankrupt in the mid 70's .that is why so many started working at yellow in the early 80's that is when yellow was coming out.So if the co. goes chapter 11 a lot keep working . look at all the company's that have went through bankruptcy the only ones that did not make it are the ones the management wanted to shut down ,and run with there money.Look what they did to cf.Making money but they wanted to shut them down to make Conway.

I guess the millin dollar question is, what makes any of us so sure The Messiah want to keep YRC open?? We all know the regionals are hiring, getting new equipment, and are unseasonably busy.. We all Know The Messiah was a Yellow DOg,, but YRC seems to be the big money issue here..
 
Kennesaw kid knows who told me this and he was also told this by me last week via voicemail and text. So if Jimi thinks this guy is a bull****ter I'll go along with it. (We both know he is not) Unfortunately we cannot talk about it.
Could I ask you something? Why do you think mgmt. is where I get my information from? True, I do talk to them but not this. One other thing I "lied" about before I HAD to delete a thread before due to possible worries about litigation and employment. I told you it was because of me being insulted. You can call me all the names you want. But again I CAN'T talk about it. Just so some of you guys know I have had plenty of issues with our local (375) . Plenty of yelling and me calling them names but not on this issue. They were at the same meeting the other locals were at. Of course vote the way you like but there will be consequences for a no vote. Thats all certain people want you to realize.
Remember one thing here that without this vote being available right now for us the company would have already filed. As for the 7% and vacation rumor carefully reread my previous posts. In defense of this man who said this ( a 30 yr.upper mgmt.employee) he swears this is what was discussed until the lender's dictated what was going to be. He says that he was outright lied to. Hey I dont think this is a good deal. No one does. Unlike some of you guys I dont believe the people I voted for to to represent me are now laying in bed with management to screw us. All I have tried to tell you guys is the truth as told to me by people that do care but for certain reasons cant talk. BTW just so you know the IBT isn't too confident on this passing either seeing the last MOU was 62%. But thank you for your prayers.

Well if the Kid knows then how come this persons name cant be let out of the bag?? Afterall we are ALL in this together.. My thought on this whole thing is its just a joke,, I have sources as well who have said that the Messiah and company dont want to keep YRC open,, they want to keep the regionals open but that would mean a possible pay cut for the idiots in the Glass Palace.. We have given to this pig for 5 years,, and NOTHING has changed, it is still considered the worst ran truckline in the industry,, they still cant make a dime and we are spotting them 2 nickles.. IMO they want to shut it down and blame us, but we wont let them because we keep giving into their every need,, and at this point its just a game to see how far they will make us jump.. Ive said it before and I will say it again, no I dont want to be out of a job, Ive started over almost 2 years ago after 20 years with a cash solvent company, and 3 more with what turned out to be a thief,, when is enough enough?? And I really like the fact that the Messiah thought he could RAM this POS MOU down our throats and there was nothing we could do about,, and if I read your prior comment correct, the BANK had to tell this idiot that it had to come to a vote,, so this kind of tells me that maybe the banks didnt set rules in this new MOU

So, the banks have told Welch, that if he can show them that he can squeeze some more money and benefits out of the employees, they would re-invest? I thought all the banks wanted was a guarantee that there would be a contract or MOU in place until 2019. You are correct though, there will be consequences for a NO vote. It's called a NEGOTIATION!!! If there isn't a consequence, YRC will continue to bully us into accepting substandard contracts. And with messengers like you (I'm embarrassed to say that I started my Yellow career in Buffalo and a member of Local 375), spewing the "We need to OK this or they'll file bankruptcy" crap, people will always be afraid to stand up and fight. :452:

You are all ready 2nd class. Your mental powers are showing when you say they are jerking your chain. If a NO vote comes in you will be out of a job within 2 weeks. You don't know how good you have it with this proposal. You will receive pay increases, your health insurance will remain unchanged which is the best deal around. The information which you give is 2nd to 4th hand what you hear from some other uninformed fool. You can't read what is involved because you can't read. If you had to get another job with another freight company youcouldn't get that job because you think you are "entitled" to a job. NOBODY is entitled, we all have to work for our jobs and you should try it sometime.
