We should start keeping track of how many people are walking away from CT..

LVL has lost so far::

11 drivers
3 office girls
6 dock (that I know of)

Too many to count in Dallas.....before I left at least 8 office.....5 sales......As far as P&D drivers the top 6 in seniority have quit including myself....maybe 8-10 less senior...Dock much more....Linehaul too many to count...honestly it would be impossible to keep track of in Dallas....A total revolving door......very few if any were fired, they all have quit....It's the most horrible working conditions you could ever imagine...It's not about money....No amount of money is worth the sick horrible feeling I had driving to work in the morning...To each their own...Many that are staying have no choice because they live pay check to pay check and must feed their families....I understand that but my advice to you is don't waste more time here than you need to....Especially if your a young man because time will fly by in the wink of an eye....The entire gamut of human experience is yours to enjoy once you decide to venture into territory where you don't have guarantees....I have said this many times on here....READ CAREFULLY............."As long as you stay where you are and tell yourself you have to do it because you've always done it, the only payoff you get is to defend your misery."

Fudgie could probably help us here....

But I can (on good authority) tell you we're not done counting yet.

We'll have to run some numbers and check back in...

Got my seniority list out and that I know of
11 city drivers (5 in the top 9)
1 linehaul (that I'm sure of)
3 office (maybe more I was pulled before they closed the barn)
Only know of 2 dock that went over and both of them are leaving ASAP if not already

HBG 6 office people, at least 5 city drivers too many linehaul to count(at least 6) as far as dock goes 6 that i know of. Two more city drivers will be gone as of next friday, an two linehaul gave their notices.I know of 7 city drivers that have put apps in with other companies an just waiting on phone calls. As of 12-27-13 we have 39 city drivers an over half have been calling in for start times an being told to stay home. I personally haven't gotten 40 hours in the last three weeks, but that's ok. will be moving on in Jan. hope things work out for those that decide to stay.

I know of at least two linehaul drivers gone from Detroit. That's verifiable as I've communicated personally with both. There may be more. Plus, there are more city guys on their way out... Trust me.

at my terminal we are down from 28 city drivers to 11 now. 10 line haul to just 4 now. both dispatcher
s laid off last week and also all 4 office people laid off. every driver is out looking for a new job. I had 26 hours last week. some drivers even less.

i heard gov't was trying to cut the extensions out for unemployment for 2014, the thinning of the heard might happen after the 1st if this law is true.

I would not be surprised if CT did not fight the unemployment filings.

I

You will like OD. No stress. Good hours. Good pay. Good runs if you take linehaul.

I know of a driver with 10years at vitran who couldnt get hired on at odfl becuz of a termination 13 years ago. Is odfl that stricked at all the barns? Bcuz im seriously giving it some thought if upsf gets their way with this tier 2 payscale (lhd) top pay .42cpm. We all know who would be running the big me runs.
