Yellow | Breaking news 4/29/11 YRCW Achieves Milestone

You're absolutely right, R-14. All the fine print and details really don't matter much to us "average joes", and won't affect us one way or another. What does matter is that YRCW has stayed out of bankruptcy, and will re-start contributions to the pension fund on 6-1-2011 as earlier agreed upon.

In my opinion your statement that fine print and details don't matter to us average joes is not a good way to look at this at all. We should all strive to educate ourselves and understand as much as possible because that is how we lose things with out even knowing we lost it. I am as glad as anyone they were able to come to an agreement and stay out of bankruptcy and resume at least a partial payment to our pension.

I know their good at shuffling numbers and making it sound good but they still owe more than their worth and are still borrowing hundreds of millions . They don't know how to move freight profitably , on time or how to treat their employees.

Here's one for you all from thKansasas CitBusinessss Journal, folks. The yrc head board member John Lamar is going to keep BZ on aadviseror after hes kicked out as chairman. Anyone wonder how much money the company per month will pay to have zollars advising them?

Maybe someone with a sharper pencil than me can do the math and tell us the new strike price to get us stock issued?

Strike price- 300 Million give or take a million. In other words, the statements we receive on our account balances should be saved for kindling for our campfires, when we are living in tents because we had to sell our homes to pay managment incentives!!

Just forget about the options they issued to us. There is absolutely 0 chance they will ever have value.

From the 8K;

the note securing the Company’s deferred multi-employer pension contributions (the “Pension Note”) would be amended to (i) extend the maturity until March 31, 2015, (ii) defer any accrued interest and fees until maturity, (iii) provide for contract rate cash interest payments and (iv) eliminate any mandatory amortization payments (other than in connection with permitted sales of certain collateral);

From 8K;

on June 30, 2011, unless certain agreements relating to contributions to the Company’s multi-employer pension funds are reached in writing, or any such agreement is terminated, amended or modified in a manner adverse to the Company or the participating lenders, or otherwise ceases to be in full force and effect

Sounds like they are looking for a new pension contribution agreement.

I know none of you want to say ANYTHING good but this is the best news to come out of YRCW in a long long time ! I know it would be to much to ask that ANYONE would like this but this new agreement just stopped the company from going bankrupt !

I want to say good things about YRC. I am glad they were able to get this thing done and stay open. I have felt the misery that comes from a shut down, lets be glad that is not the topic.
