I suppose you mean the Vitran forum should be merged into the Central Transport forum and the Vitran forum should be closed......The owner of this site will do that when he's ready and you need to keep politics on the political forum.THERE IS NO VITRAN WHY IS THERE STILL A THREAD ? Just a bunch of old nit pickers, hey sonny remember when a soda cost a dime?? yeah but central came and took it away and raised it to a dollar, you guys sound like OBAMA blaming BUSH for all his problems ,

You know what gives me great satisfaction? I'm going to leave Central Transport in a few days. My starting pay (depending on which offer I accept) at my new job will likely be more than you make now. Not only that, but within 30 - 90 days (again, depending on which direction I go) my medical insurance will most definitely be better than yours. Within two years, I'll (most likely) have the same amount of vacation as you. I'll acquire personal days, be paid more for more holidays, and I'll work in a much better environment. There are other benefits that every single driver (including you) know that I will reap by leaving Central.
Soooo... You know what gives me great satisfaction? YOU will still be at Central.
(There is no argument, no "comeback", no quip or smart remark.... absolutely nothing at all you can say to that. Why? Because it's truth. Simple, beautiful truth.)

Great post jacknife, and Godspeed at your new job. I've never been happier since I've left, and things keep getting better everyday! We have picked up a LOT of freight from Central/Vitran. So much so that we are hiring 7 more city drivers and 5 more line haul drivers. When I talk to my friends that are working for other companies they all tell me the same thing; business is booming and life is good. I, for one am THANKFUL that Central took over Vitran.

Truth....and nothing but the truth....But JK this guy can't comprehend that....The only thing he can defend is his own misery....He can't handle the truth....He would rather bury his head in the sand and think he's getting a good deal.....But CT42 will come back....he will quip....he will have a smart remark....Because he can't handle the truth...plain and simple

in ct42longs case, sounds like misery loves company. he probably enjoys reading how some of us had a good thing going and no longer have it, now he has more in the same boat as himself. in my 25 yrs of driving this job is the worst job i ever had and will thank my t.m. if he ever walked up to me telling me i'm fired or laid off.

When the Vitran forum is closed and we are forced to post on the CT forum......Things will never be the same........Call it drama or whatever you like but at least for me it will be a sad day when the Vitran forum disappears even though I'm gone....We had some good times but the big wheels keep on turning and life moves on....And I'm OK with that.

my time here is coming to an end anyways, 2014 will be better for all of us.
We have the right to nit pick for all we have lost mr ct 42 for 1 over time 2 three holiday of with pay 3 four weeks vac the list can go one if you had this taken from you mr ct 42 would be on the same ship with us all I for got we had enough freight so every one could work every day lol

If you do not like what you are reading, go back to the la la land of Central. Obviously, you must love it here, otherwise you would stay on Central. I myself have been gone from Vitran for a while, however, I still like to come back to see how the boys are doing. I am sorry that you do not have the same companionship that Vitran/Pjax has, but we are a brotherhood. Switching batteries, because you are to damn lazy or dumb to charge? That would never happen at Vitran, becuase we did not have to use our own electricity for charging.

I would like to say that all our Vitran brothers and sisters are like family we all hang close.When I went thru Cancer 3 years ago the support and prayers meant more to me then anything that I got from all over the US from my Vitran brothers and sisters.Until you have been there walk with us and seen what all we have lost and what good people it was don't say a word about us.We all have been thru it but with God's help and alot of prayers we all will bounce back with other companies.It is hard watching everything fold when you have given so much into it and the promises that as made to us all then none of it has been kept.As of Friday not only will I be leaving but 3 other linehauls that only leaves one from Vitran and he is looking hard maybe go where we all have went too plus very few city drivers left but we all have made a pact to get together once a month and all talk at least once a week to see how each other is doing that is what we are doing from our barn.Runaway Train you are still the best man.Hope to stay in contact with alot of you.I am not cancer free but I am not giving up my trucking boots yet.The company here in our area which I am not posting yet has hired alot of the Vitran guys they said they know we work hard and believe in a company.This is from my heart to all the Vitran brothers and sisters out there May this year bring us all alot less stress,better working areas and peace with all so we can enjoy our families we never know when it can be taken away from us at the drop of a hat.

Men like yourself are the heart and soul of what Vitran was...None of us are perfect and we fought like cats and dogs at times....We cried....We complained....But who doesn't at times..........That is what makes truckingboards so special....It's a refuge....A place to come when things become difficult.....An escape of sorts..... As far as you EAGLEDAD just know that your Vitran brothers and sisters will pray for your speedy recovery.
