Eagledad you are a class act and we will keep in touch.....We will figure this out.....Hold on my brother, our prayers will get you through this.It is a shame we can not start a page somewhere else so that we all can stay in touch so we would not upset certain ones that comes on the page.Oh Well. Runawaytrain I call it like I have seen it thanks so much for the prayers I have been back at work and start my new job monday we have not been getting any runs for the last 2 wks. before that one day a week with my meds and my wife's too we have to look out for our family so it was real hard seeing our terminal shut down alot of people without jobs here.I just pray for everybody and that I can stay stage 1 for a good while. With all the prayers and cards that I got when I got sick it was amazing to us.A few weeks ago I went down front and asked our pastor to pray for all my Vitran brothers and sisters the whole church did and still is.I guess after next week there will be no Vitran linehaul driver there because all of them has found a job.I will keep posting on here till it closes but not on CT.
During my research for the job search, I found a internet site that was completely dedicated to the company history of a trucking company that closed down. There were photos and stories and I believe a way for former employees to keep in touch. They have reunions. I thought that was touching. It speaks volumes about how truckers feel about their companies. If I can find it again, I'll post a link. I can't remember the name of the company right now.It is a shame we can not start a page somewhere else so that we all can stay in touch so we would not upset certain ones that comes on the page.Oh Well.
Most won't post on there......The boneyard can give us a chance to keep in touch.....And PM's of course.good, because i won't be posting on the c.t. forum. i don't need to be reminded of that nightmare.
I won't rain on your parade......But I must say "good luck with that."i think its a bulljive situation how Vitran has so many caring drivers that wants to provide good customer service but becoming a part of CT, now Vitran workers have to absorb the mentality of "ram it, cram it, pick it up and slam it" mentality of getting freight to customers. Maybe, just maybe Vitran drivers will bring high morals and standards to CT and will add quality service to the "shortened" paychecks that are coming from CT.
