I just like to know the whole story before passing judgment.
Hmm maybe cause I work for ABF. That's why I'm here.
No specifics? He gave specifics, TM arranged tour and bailed. If you are so worried about defending this guy why don't you track him down and ask him? You could post your findings on here for us. Maybe you could advise him that he is getting ripped on Truckingboards.com and that he should come and clear his impeccable name.
WOW! All I was trying to do is give credit and everyone is in a defense mode or something. In my view, he set it up and gave them the offer and should have been there less a death in the family.
Our TM set up a meeting for the Boy scouts of America to take a tour of our terminal at 140 and bailed out a half hour before they were to arrive. I found this very offensive and showed no class on his part. So a teamster stepped up to the plate and gave them a tour and explained how great it is to be part of the teamsters and how working hard can get you places.
Thank GOD a Teamster can show integrity.
PROUD TO BE A TEAMSTER
I ain't worried about anybody, I just need a reason to rip somebody. I'm not going to rip on someone just because of their title. Talk about childish. And why should I do have to find out for you? I'm not the one making the claims here. You claim something, then you have to back it up. Maybe you guys need to grow the FLIP up. And no, the OP never gave specifics on why he backed out.
TM's always stick together, right Stoney? you must be a dispatcher or a manager, oh by the way, the TM just set up a new tour with the boys and girls club for Saturday. opps were closed on the weekends, Next on his list make a wish foundation!
This looks like a good reason why one shouldn't drink and post on the internet.
I'm with you on thanks to the fellow member who stood up to the task, he/she deserves to be congratulated.
On the other matter, I would never just walk out without covering what I had going on. NEVER! I have noticed in my years that I am not in the majority there, but I see such a failure as irresponsible. Keep in mind that this shows our Boy Scouts that such behavior is OK and yet we wonder why today's generations show a lack of responsibility. What would that TM say to a no call/no show driver?
Wow original!!! No wonder the public has such a poor opinion of Unions. Least I know I cornered you hateful clowns. When you can't back up anything, just go to insults. Just like little kids!
I was going to....but I'll just let you go on your tirade.
I must agree with my compadres. Stoney you have to be management. You are to quick to defend a TM. If you call yourself a Teamster, I'm ashamed to call myself one!

Calm down...it's OK. Our TM will survive this little ordeal. It sounds like your arguing to yourself about this whole thing. Let it go it will be OK. I'm sorry if I offended you in any way offering an opinion here, that's all it was. I just thought that being in the position he is, he should have shown more respect. You don't know this guy and I think if you did you might feel the same way. It don't matter what the reason, maybe he had to go buy a new tent at wal-mart who knows...who cares, only you are looking out for him that is why you are thought of as management. Just let it go or give him a call and ask him, I'm sure all TMs talk from time to time he would love to hear from you I'm sure.

Double Barrel said:Why do you think that person is a Teamster's or even works for ABF,they could be internet lurker or Truckingboard trolls.
