Hello Everybody. I saw that Holland in hiring 2 local and 3 regional drivers for the Appleton, Wi terminal. I know that the local is home every night, but what does the regional job entail? I am OTR now hauling oversize and I don't want to come off the road all together, but I might like to try something a little less stressful. I have all endorsements needed already. Is it mostly night driving? What is typical day like? Assigned trucks? Thank you for the replies.

You can look up their service area on their website. It's pretty much Appleton south, as far south as Atlanta, all of Ohio down to NC, west to Kansas City
Regional (Road, linehaul) means you could be out all week, yes, mostly nights, driving terminal to terminal. You stay in motels for your break. OR some weeks, fill in on a bid run that returns home every morning.
You get assigned a truck but, city uses them while your in bed, wherever that is.

Toledo has added 2 P&D and 1 linehaul for sure,, TM was interviewing 2 more P&D today,, sure is a funny way to be going out of business
