Please Don't misunderstand our letting out our frustration be seen as we are not together, whether we voted yes or no we are still brothers and sisters, we go to work and still do our best for the CUSTOMERS, we still laugh talk and communicate in a very upbeat and positive way at work, We still or let me speak for myself on this one, I still have the upmost respect and love for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters who, through the fight and steps made before I was even born allowed me to raise my family with above standard pay and insurance for my family, even though things have went south in the past few years, I am imbedded in me with so much appreciation and pride from the years before, however this turns out good or bad I will still have the upmost respect for the IBT, I'm either going to be a dues paying or out of work TEAMSTER after all this. We may say things or vent out of anger or frustration but you have to understand what we have been through over these past few years, it is very stressful and frustrating but please understand that a family may vent out and even fight but end we still are a family, I'm not going to ask you to put yourselves in our shoes because we wouldn't even wish that on our enemies but please understand what we're going through and treat us accordingly, don't mock us and wish us out of a job, don't be in management and come in here and insult our intelligence, just present yourself as management and state your case, you may be surprised, we may get your point, Bottom Line is no matter what I Thank God For Being A Teamster, I just hope to be a Teamster with a job

I'm glad to hear you say that you are a positive person and you seem - in your post - to have a level head. I'm glad for you and I wish you well.

I would like you to know that, there are some among your ranks that are not as polite as you. I know some that have literally turned on one another and stopped even being courteous by saying "hey". I know someone that has been treated so badly by his "fellow brothers" for his vote that he is physically sick over it. I'm absolutely sure there are more than just my story.

I can say until I'm purple in the face that I'm not management and it will fall on deaf ears. So - to your statement - "just say your management and state your case" - I tried to alleviate that 'worry' honestly to no avail.

My dying mother-in-law told me that I was 'wise beyond my years' as I listened to her share her fears and tried to give her another point of view. She said "I don't want to miss all of my grandkids growing up, I don't want to leave my husband" and she worried about it until she was sick... I told her - there is no guarantee that you will go before us. Bad things happen every day and you could be at our funerals rather than us at yours... don't worry about what you can do nothing about - enjoy the days you have with your grandchildren. Anyhow... I listened and gave her different perspective. Do I always say what will make your travels easier? NO.. do I always show you what I see? YES... Do you have to read it... NO.....

Be well friend - find peace in what you believe - but don't mistake your acceptance and forgiveness as that of all your brothers and sisters.

Why don't you just donate your hard earned income to YRCW yourself, and take it as a tax donation?

Some us non's understand that our wages have been dictated by union contracts for years. I applaud your efforts of standing up for yourselves and saying enough is enough. I grew up in and around the aircraft union which in the early 90's put a very bad taste in my mouth; I personally saw the worst side of what "people" could do. I never had hoped the worst for your company because people, families and communities would be affected by a closure of that magnitude. Being in the city I see the same guys everyday and they are going and doing the same as thing at the same places, we all help each other out wether it be pulling a pallet or sharing a joke. The coming days or months are going to create a lot of stomach acid for y'all, i do not envy you.
