"PRO one" and EVERYONE dealing with wobbly bits:

Spit the Dummy:
Australian Term: To indulge in a sudden display of anger or frustration; to lose one’s temper. The phrase is usually used of an adult, and the implication is that the outburst is childish, like a baby spitting out its dummy in a tantrum and refusing to be pacified. (Dummy is a pacifier)

CHEERS MATE,

That's what I like about the word CHEERS, as it's both a GREETING and a SEND OFF, like ALOHA as well other worldly bits.

I may well be rolling again by Monday, so we'll both be stuffed up in related happenings (Hospitals AND Trucking ARE related).

We're not pulling yer leg on this one Mate and hopefully they don't pull yer leg either.

I'm sure the sick is from the infection as well the meds and the overall attitude affected BY the Leg and Meds.

Keep yer chin up--mainly to SEE what's happening, not to get boxed.
CHEERS!!

Kiwi has been a source of multi cultural learning for me. I work with an Irishman & he has taught me a lot of Irish slang & terms. He is a good sport & laughs at Irish jokes we tell him. He has heard most of them before but occasionally a new one will surface. I think Irish folks & rednecks are the only people that have thick skin & don't get offended constantly.

me being of "Italian" heritage, i can safely say that the Irish and Italian's get along great...

i mean after all, the Irish very often worked for the "mafia"....

in any case....the real reason(s) why the Irish and red necks are not getting offended often is NIT due to thick skin......but that is because.....

they are nearly ALWAYS drunk......

i ain't never seen a sober Irishman my whole life...>!!!!j/k

Hey pro1, quit going to them Irish pubs!! :guiness::nutkick:

I thought the Irish have their own militia, I.R.A.??
I suppose some Irish may have worked alongside the mafia in the ununited (blue and red) states, therefore it may have "appeared" they were together, but Irish like Danny Greene worked for themselves and shunned ANY help or suggestion.

I'm a crossbreed: Scottish and German as well other bits mixed in and genealogy revealed I and me ancestors are related thru time to The Vikings, as are I'm sure, 100s of 1,000,000s.
I'm no drunk! I got very tired of breaking out in a rash of handcuffs when I was running with John Barleycorn.
Nowadays I'm sober, cantankerous and loquacious awaiting a ticket for smoking a cigarette.

About the only thing that offends me is STUPIDITY ("you're the LAST winner") and with the way societal structure is headed, I'm sure i'm not alone in being well offended daily.:ranting2::crybaby:

CHEERS!!

Best of Luck to you Kiwiray....I hope that all goes well this time and you can get back to feeling great and be able to enjoy life again as it is meant to be....Pain free...

I.R.A...= Irish Republican Alcoholics....

many times, back in the day, the Irish were cops and took payments to look the other way in robberies and such. some of the Irish were paid "hit men"....the Mafia as we once knew them to be, had just about every one you could ever imagine under their payroll.....

and why not....good money

My wife had both her knees replaced.
The most important part of the process is the therapy after the operation.
She says the operation is the easy part, working hard to get the new knee functioning the way it should is the hard part.
