FedEx Freight | Holbrook AZ to lose 20 trucks.

Like I said, it's the future: more rails, more contractors, more Ground, and less employees.
I've been saying this for awhile now.
Exactly why I'm getting out of this biz.

Someone said the truck's would be trades with California because Holbrook has the clean burn Volvo's that is required in there state. Who know's!
 
they are more than likely going to CA. the CA trucks will be replacing them. Thats what other terminals are doing.
 
Everyone losing all there new 07 newer trucks. Going to Cali due to emissions getting all there old million plus on the odometer trucks c'mon cmin.
 
That makes sense,Varnco thinks they are being replaced with contractors LOL.....I heard something on the radio a year ago about CA possibly requiring and upgrade or retrofit.Way to kill business CA!
 
New tractors can't go to CA due to sales tax laws.. You can avoid it by saying they were bought for and are being used in interstate service, but CA is so broke they are really looking at everything now and Fedex does not want to hassle it..
 
They probably are replacing the trucks the king and queen rode in and wore out the springs, shocks and suspension. that is a ton of fact there boy.

There are contractors working in that yard. Somebody called me yesterday that just went to work for one of them in Holbrook.

What contractors? Outside carriers,Ground contactors,FedexFreight contractors? I was referring to some peoples thought that Ground will pull our freight or we will go to a cobtractor model.

The guy I talked to is working for C&M Star, and they are an outside contractor.
