Central Transport | Just wondering about Vitran W-2's

It matters little if they are or not... They have a LEGAL obligation to do so. My guess (and it's ONLY a guess) is that most employees will receive their W-2 in a relatively timely manner.

They will for that very reason....They have a legal obligation and they don't want trouble from the IRS.........Please don't think they want you to get your refund in a timely manner...They are only concerned with one thing.....Covering their A..........You are just a after thought...They have to the last day of the month so it will probably be post marked the 31st.
 
my only concern is those of us that were with central for a very short time, will we "get lost" in the system, I called them last week over the 401 and CT did not even know I had quit and that was over a month ago.
 
I terminated employment with CT on 1/3/14. I will get a W-2 from both Vitran, and CT. It is law, so I really wouldn't worry about that. The 401K? I called Fidelity, and the person I talked to who was familiar with the CT 401 told me there isn't any movement on the Vitran accounts being transferred yet. He told me all previous Vitran employees who had 401 K's would be notified by mail from Fidelity, and or CT concerning their accounts. All the accounts will be moved to the Fidelity accounts. He told me it shouldn't take that long. I am thinking some time in February we should hear something. I hope. Then those who wish (like me) to roll it over else where can do so.
 
c.t. w2s will prob be handed out prior to vitran w2s, just to upset us. our 401 transfer is done on purpose, probably to avoid them to contribute into the plan.
 
Received my W-2 from VITRAN in the mail tday. Only Vitran, not CT. Probably have to go to the terminal to pick that one up on the 31st. After all, that is a Friday. Wonder if my last 1 day pay check is still over there instead of being mailed to me like I was told?
 
Your probable right there. That is how you become a billionaire by saving on postage you make everyone come in to pick up there W2's. LOL. However, I think it is law they have to mail them.
