In the last few weeks 4 city drivers have been admitted to hospital. All very serious including cancer. We also have one at home recovering from quadruple bypass surgery. We have many more who have lost their cdl do to health reasons and will not get another decent job.Knowing the doors will shut in bankruptcy how in the hell could another union member pull the plug on their insurance.A real man would simply find another job if that unhappy and let these sick families keep their insurance

Think how great it's going to be if YRC closes and we get to sit on these computers and purchase into Obamacare. If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait until it's free.

lmao you are funny treman .
and falcon if they are out on disabilty that is not affected by this company closing the door .

They are not disabled, diabetics, sleep apnea ect. They can no longer drive but are allowed to work the dockand obviously will never have a good job with benefits. The people in the hospital will have to cobra at well over 1000 per month with no job.

They seem to throw "union brothers" out there a lot, but I've not seen much of it yet. All I seem to hear is to hell with them close it down. I guess I'm not seeing the big picture . Hopefully the yes voters will prevail.

just wondering, who's fault would it be if the yes vote wins and the company still closes the doors? Just remember, the no voters didn't put the company in this position, the company did. This finger pointing and blame game going on between the yes and no voters is getting to be ridiculous. Let's start pointing the finger at who's really to blame here and its not the teamsters regardless of how they vote.

Or watch them pass this using the threat of bankruptcy and then on Feb 8th they will release a record 4th quarter....

Knowing what I know about accident frequency and claims the 4th quarter results will likely be "dissappointing".

nightowl, IMO there are only 2 greedy players. The lenders and senior YRCW managers. The rest of us are merely observers.

Disappointing? You are too kind. Now start digging that spot in the ridge parking lot looking for the "hidden" 3 billion $$$.

So we need to vote Yes because 4 others are sick ???

Sleep Apnea & Type 2 diabetes are both controllable thru proper diet & exercise. Are they not responsible at all for their condition?

falcon fan i hope the best for your comrades at work!!! i currently work with two guy's that are battling cancer. and they need their insurance !! i have known these two men for 25 plus years and consider both of them to be stand up guy's!!! and they both voted no on the original proposal. knowing their situation! that floored me personally!!!! they both said they could not vote to have a fellow or future teamster have lower wages etc. i believe that took a lot of courage and soul searching on their part!!! these two are defiantly not being selfish!!!!

There is no hidden money they are so scrutinized by the analysts who are accountable to the shareholders who have lost millions they know every nickel of revenue, every nickel spent, the average age of our fleet how much we need to spend on technology. We are a publicy traded company and they would go to prison for hiding money!

Well, I have to disagree. For starters, WE ARE THE COMPANY!! That's right, all of us Teamster-represented dockworkers, drivers, switchers, mechanics, facilities and clerical people. How many of us have been there for over ten years? Twenty years?, Thirty years? How many of the itinerant management have been there anywhere near that long? Think about it! Those people change faster than some of our Teamster brothers change their socks (that's disgusting!)
