Yellow | selfish union brothers

Only Dr note I ever saw the company refuse was the one the Teamster wrote out. He stole the script pad when getting his DOT physical .
All this policy deals with is the folks that seem to be tardy and have a hard time coming to work and staying their once they do arrive.
The terminal I worked out of had a hand full of people that were the reason for this.
And yes they screwed many a man out of a premium shift or a days pay and a good bid.
guess they ignored the guys from western states saying they are even refusing drs notes and giving letter .sure hope your locals back you after you saved there full double pensions

we never did get an answer from the west coast guys if these letter ever drop from your record of if the drop after 9 months like on the east coast or just stay there and keep adding up . guess you will all find out if you catch a cold this year then next year you get the flu you will be gone hmmm

You can say what you want but for me I have always done thing that are not selfish and if you think that my no vote is selfish then the 10 year I spent in the army for most of you that did not I guess I am. So you give every thing away that we have try to get and save this Company and try to get it back later. Good luck on that I only have 2 more years left so youal have to live with it not me I am still a no vote.

Your no vote would only be foolish if you voted that way to
1) stick it to the man
2) stick it the the banks
3) you figure the next round will get all the concessions returned including the pension to 100%
4) you don't believe the company, the union or the independent experts that are telling us the company is going down
Or
5) You just figure unemployment is good deal and you might as well get some of your money back from the government while you have the chance.

Falconfan,
I don't have a dog in this fight, left already (sick and tired of working with a bunch of card carrying *****) but, just out of curiosity, how in the **** do you think you got the benefits and wages you have been so willing to give up?

A handful at every terminal turns into a lot of money paid out for benefits that the company gets ZERO return on.
Most managers can not count backwards to 30 and also letters are not very timely.
As far as the letters after 9 months they do go away but then the company will show a pattern.
Best thing to do if you want to roll the dice is get a calender be sure to mark it when you sin and learn to count back 30 days. Do NOT get 3 in a running 30 day period and all will be good.
Its a lot easier to just do your job and cover your bid.

I have sought union work all of my life and am as pro labor as any union member .my father in Illinois was in union 36 years.I volunteered on the overnite campaign and have always stood by my union as they have me.two of the union cpompanies shut down (without a vote) this isnt about fighting for something we could benefit from this is about keeping what we have. They will close the doors if this doesnt get ratified and you tell me how that helps the cause for those before us.

There are no gaurantees this company won't fail the week afterr a yes vote. Why blame Teamsters for putting other Teamsters in a vulnerable position? If we do that the the companies plan is succeeding to say tthe least. Guilt trip them into a yes vote @ Terminally ill Teamsters......or......Fear Factor them into yes vote by to old to find job, other companies won't hire former Teamsters.
The best one by far is the U will never find Insurance U pay $00.00$ for-----> @ %15 concessions + Reduced Pension to basically nothing <-----I would say we pay a HUGE PRICE for that * Free Insurance * !!!! .....Look I sympathize with the Teamsters who are sick or finacially strapped or just plain stressed out about the situation........I can speak on this post @ Selfish Union Brothers because---> I have a Chronic Medical Condition & I still voted NO! so to each his/her own and Respect That!!! Everyone has a VOTE!!!!! Just Excercise your right and allow EVERYONE ELSE the same Courtesy !!!

You must not be the Mr. Pro Labor you think you are. I have seen many post's from you blasting people about how a NO vote is going to kill this company. These are your union brothers, like them or not they are entitled to their opinions just like you. You talk about being pro labor, the pro labor vote is a NO. When corporate made these bad decisions labor had nothing to do with it. These foolish, ego driven decisions that they want us to pay for again and again. As I watched my retirement being snatched away from under my feet from a corporation that cares nothing about it's employees, and your siding with them. Ya, that's pro labor. I've been with this company for 24 years. Busted my ass for most of them, yet this is how they reward me "we screwed up, but give me more of your money, plus your retirement".
Save your Pro Labor rant for someone else. The people fighting to keep what we have are pro labor, your just another enabler to corporate greed.

First of all half of the things you say i said came from other posts you say nothing against the no voters point of view but when a yes voter posts he is some how taking away your rights this will be my last response to such bias you sound like a politition

You say the pro labor vote was a no vote.I guess 68% aren't pro labor and my ass I sided with the company.Your vote was going to close the company down just ask union officials ranked high and low all across the country but I guess they aren't pro labor enough for you.Nobody likes this bs but no job is worse bs I am just glad I wont be seeing your pro labor self in the unemployment line

Falcon how dare you use reason and logic on this site, we will not tolerate the kind of commonsense you are constantly putting forth,

I found a statement I can agree with, amazing. With only a small group of people posting over and over again, and trying to guess how many are retired, and people who work other places and management trying to push their own agenda,it is easy to feel that all the thoughts forwarded here on the truckingboards site are representative of all the unionized workforce at YRC,when I have to believe they are not.

I voted NO to clear that up. I have nothing against ANYONE FOR THE WAY THEY VOTE BECAUSE ITS THEIR RIGHT AND THEIR VOTE. i HAVE MY OPINIONS ABOUT THINGS AND i VOTE ACCORDINGLY. See my fellow Teamster if we use our brains we can realize you don't have to hate another person for havingdifferent views on a subject that you do. Thats exactly how this turns on us and eventually divide and conquer us as a union. Union based upon Seniority & Majority Rules and I totally abide by that...........I ALSO TELL THE TRUTH & I AM NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK HOW I TRULY FEEL........If U have a problem with that well...THATS YOUR PROBLEM ....can't help you with that one.

Did you ever think that these people were once employed by yrc? Or that every time you give something up it has a affect on the whole industry, but as long as you still have a job its all good....
