Holland | on Monday a "yes voter"....

I think we make a good living for what we get could it be better sure but yrc could be better if the freight rates were more there at 95 level because of all the rate cutting by the nons trying to run us out.
Again that would depend on where you live.. .. I know where I am property tax increase 10% electric company wants a 22% increase food has gone up and I don't even want to touch how much gas has gone up.. Years back you could say this was a good paying job but you cant say it anymore.. Why do you think they can't get anyone to come work at YRCW .. The pay stinks.. not to mention probably some of the worst middle management in the field.. all with an agenda to make your life miserable..But you are right about the freight rates but that is beyond us.. And they will continue to give the big discounts because they know they can always come back for more concessions..

Tell ya chief, I'm not rattled by your threats!! I will not shut up, I will not sit down, I will continue to be the a**hole that I am!! No one, I F-ING REPEAT NO ONE is gonna knock me out!!!! Difference between you and I, I just Don't play a bada** on the internet for all others to read. Yes I will continue to pound my chest. It was plan c or close the f-ing doors at my local!!! If it meant I'd be looking for work so be it, but so would they (officers of this company)!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, proof positive that KNUCKLEHEADS are among us. Too stupid or mis-informed to realize that the numbers are against us until we can alter the playing field (The IBT NEEDS to start a big membership drive in freight and stay with it this time, or in 2016 it's time for Mr Hoffa to EXIT) . #Dude, you'd rather sacrifice 26000+ jobs, to prove your point. You are the epitome of today's "ME-STER". Didn't do your homework, don't realize that they haven't made much money to cover the debt, paid freight bills are lagging behind, revenue has slowed down because some of these "new" clients we have that haven't paid for our services, but your willing to go for a Plan "C", that wasn't there, because this corporation would never have agreed to it. Glad that you admitted that you are an "A-Hole" saves me the time/trouble of doing it. Your local was just as mis-informed as you are, either that of just as ignant (purposely misspelled). Back in November they had $170M cash on hand, with $70M in revenues due. Since then we have had a few $3M accident claims, a ton of freight claims and some really "enjoyable" weather to put up with, but I'll reiterate my statement, you didn't do your homework. I HIGHLY suggest that you use some of that insurance you have to go see a good proctologist and with their help you may be able to remove your cranium holding device from your anal orifice.

LOL being sarcastic a hole I am...I truly enjoyed your threat free banter. See now we're having a conversation!! I understand everything you posted, but where I drawn the line is we were told the 1st vote needed to be done as quickly as possible and there was no other offer. Then Hoffa sits down and this is the best crap they can come up with? Regardless Hoffa needs to be booted along with Tyson!!! The IBT could give 2 craps for the freight division, these pathetic sit downs, minimal to no organizing of other companies. I know for a fact here in my city Vitran/Central wanted to sign cards but took them close to 2 months before they got a return phone call so the guys that were trying to organize within themselves were either fired, quit, or "indefinitely suspended". Regardless ofthe stature of that company, would've meant more bodies paying into the pension. Hoffa let Buster Brown buy out of the pension plan and last I heard they still owe 3/4 of the money that was promised. Enough is enough. Why not come back with what abf offered? Stay with the 15% another term is crap!! Do I want the doors to close, NO, but I'm not gonna be aboush over either and just take whatever BS they try and shove to us and tell me its a sweet deal!!

They wanna say they have no money but the top 4 officers of this company received bonus before any interest payment was paid based on the performance of the company. So the company did well enough for them to receive over 1million in bonuses, but its going bankrupt? What about the 1.1 billion the drivers have given back since the 15% was implemented, where has that gone? And the talk of a $750 bonus???? Slap in the face!! We're not getting raises for two years!!! Should Have gotten .40¢ (-15%) plus $750. That's a bonus.

Wow ok maybe I'm missing something here but let's try this again,

By your own admission you started here 3 years ago, so the cutbacks were already In effect,

Which means you agreed to work here at a certain pay and you never took a pay cut, if the 15% pay reduction was to much why did you ever take this job?????

True I took the job knowing full well we were on a 15% give back, but also knew the current mou expired 2015. Was expecting some of the 15% back. Unlike yourself, I dont really care to see how much I pay the company to work here every time I get my check stub.

Dude, WE WILL NEVER GET ANYTHING WE GAVE UP BACK. That includes the 5 hrs of vacation time. Once it's gone it might as well be forgotten!!!

Your not paying anything to work here those that started before the concessions took a reduction in wages those that started after agreed to work for a certain amount and in no way took a pay cut,

No one likes the concessions but with yrcw losing over 100 million a quarter did you honestly think the concessions were gonna end,

So your saying the $12k at the bottom of my check isn't supposed to be mine? Or oh wait you're more of a union man cause you have more time in than I. Get the f$%k out of here with that nonsense!!!!!

In one post you say its the best driving job you've ever had in every other one you post you have to pay to work here, so which one is it????

The amount paid out is lower then when I started so I took a pay cut, you've been working at the rate you agreed upon when you were hired,

It's really not that complicated,

Glad you don't reside at my barn. Seems You and yours has drawn a line in the sand against us "new" guys.

It is the best job I've had. Doesn't mean I'm gonna become a whipping boy though!! I hired in under the understanding that our IBT would negotiate some of the 15% back. Initially it wasn't taken from myself or us "new" drivers but I am paying it none the less. I just took part in negotiations that would have given back roughly $4/hour, so your argument of the 15% not affecting me and my family is now null and void of any merit.

Nope sorry there's no line in the sand anywhere or any agenda against any new people it's really just plain as can be, You didn't get a raise, no one is taking any money out of your pocket the corporation you work for has been under a extremely mismanaged holding company for years which loses a lot of money on a quarterly basis, Let me try to explain things is a way you'll understand Once upon a time there was an evil wizard named zollars who cast a spell on some really great company's,

Now after this evil wizard destroyed everything he touched he performed another amazing feat he became the ruler of another corporation,

The amazing thing about that is its a charitable corporation known as UNITED WAY, the evil zollars should be hanging from a tree but that was not to be so,

Nothing in the negotiations that "you took part in" were going to give you back $4 per hour. We were under contract until 2015 and the company didnt want the IBT at the table to give you something back in the middle of said contract. And nowhere is it written or implied that the IBT would negotiate it back when you were hired. Anyone hired after the giveback mou is NOT on a giveback. You didnt giveback anything. You knew the wage when you were hired.

Well said, the thing he doesn't understand is that everyone who was here before the mou has seen hundreds of co workers lose there jobs,

Sadly, you are in for a real rude awakeing. First of all you work for a UNION company. Place that little tidbit on your next job application. Unless it is another UNION company, you will find out what it's like to be discriminated against. You will either be told that "You are Over Qualified for this position", or "you do not fit OUR Business model". It doesn't matter how good your record is, the "non's" don't want you, you are union troublemaker, a lazy bum, a good for nothing whining, bitchin, complainin, malingering person. Ask me, back in 2009, after my 2nd Million miles (Individual), 5 Million in a Team Operation, no tickets, no accidents and a spotless attendence record, I couldn't buy a job. Pound on your chest all you want, You voted NO, well good for you. Who cares? I don''t, and your still here so STFU and sit down before someone knocks you out. You talk a great game, but never let your mouth write checks that your butt can't back up. 39 posts over the last 3 years, Hhhmmmm let's see, you're one of those $100K guys, doing a 34 hr restart, notching everyone you can where ever you go, sucking up as much work as you can.. Yeah, I got the picture................

Yours is one of the best posts I've seen in quite a while. It's a shame that there are naive people who cannot comprehend an SEC filing. Its a tragic situation that $bill left us. But the "shut 'em down" crowd just don't get it!

albag, do you really think they would've filed the papers? We'll never know now will we????

That is the $1.4 billion question isn't it? I believed what the auditors said. Bankruptcy was inevitable without refinance. Would it have been February 1? You're right we'll never know. One thing I am confident of is this. YRCW went from losing $1 billion to losing "just" $50 million. That's where our sacrifices have gone.
