Yellow | Teamsters At YRCW Approve Agreement Aimed At Saving 30,000 Jobs!

It's called having an opinion and she stated hers, so don't be rude when you don't agree with it!! All jobs in the Good 'Ole USA especially the trucking industry has went down, as the saying goes...."nothing stays the same!"

I'm not rude, just truthful. I'll talk to you and your wife in 6 month's when they ask for more give backs.

No winners here.we all still lose.plus we still dont know where 3.4billion went.now we are going to add on to that total even more.our President flipped flopped again.Just on a few minute changes which are basically meaningless. The rank and file jumped.just shameless on behalf of everyone including myself.just short of criminal on a few.

You know - you need to get yourself one of those "debt counters" like the federal government has... that way you can watch the 3.4 billion grow and grow and grow... ;)

Don't encourage him. He'll be looking for one on eBay all night.

You will be paying for your health care in a year, after more cut's so if your a stay at home mom now !!! Forget about that, but hey !!! you told your old man to be a Yes man !!! Right. You are just as much to blame. Open your eye's please before you post. This plan yrc has started a long long time ago. We had them on the run and thru it a way. We are going one way. Down.

Not a stay at home mom.....I've worked in the medical field for 25 years! My husband and myself do what's best for our family. Hope you have a blessed life!

I don't know what to say to you guys. But I do wish you all well. I am just glad that I was able to get out of there before all this sh.. hit the fan. And I hope YRC will realize what a great bunch of people they have working for them and stop treating them like second class citizens. Like calling men and woman out of bed in a motel and letting them sit for hours in a cramped drivers room where there is not enough room for their own drivers.

What? What a totally miserable thing to do to a driver. That kind of behavior calls for some kind of investigation I would think. Treating people like that in this day and age? Totally unacceptable.

No winners?? ....seriously??.. How many people are still employed at a decent livable wage with decent benefits...??.. The Union is better off with YRCW still being able to operate....That is a good thing for Teamster members at all Teamster represented Companies.......What about all the business that rely on people spending money at their places of business..... had YRCW closed do you think that would be "better" for them?......There are plenty of "winners" with this deal......

Open your mind a little bit and get past your own personal bitterness and see the bigger picture around you.....your not the center of the universe....

plus we still dont know where 3.4billion went.

If you believe that it's being hoarded by a few at the top of the Company.... your being nonsensical...If you think that giving up yours, and everyones, job because you don't understand "what happened to the 3.4 Billion" is a winning strategy......that is rather foolish.....in my opinion...

now we are going to add on to that total even more.

No.... now we are giving this Company, and it's employees, the chance to continue to improve and become profitable again....and that is a win for everyone....

our President flipped flopped again.

Maybe he knows a lot more about the inner workings and the actual seriousness of the situation......and besides who was it that touting that Our President said to vote no.....so that was your reason to vote no"??? ......now since Hoffa recommended a "yes"....he "flipped flopped"...??... get a reality check...

a few minute changes which are basically meaningless.

The larger majority seem to disagree with you on that......

The rank and file jumped.just shameless on behalf of everyone including myself.just short of criminal on a few.

Yes..they "jumped".... I think it was quite clear that there were no endless opportunities to get back everything .......It was this..now or never..What is shameful about doing the right thing? "just short of criminal"..??? Explain that.........The majority spoke....live with it and move on....

If you honestly believe that there are no winners...and you lost....and all is doom and gloom.....and you'd be better off on unemployment looking for another job right now.......I suggest you set yourself free from this huge loss you have suffered and move on to that better place you think is out there.....where everyone wins all the time...... Try Conway...ever read their forum?? They all are the happiest bunch of Drivers I've ever seen..! I bet they would take your application......

Id like to ask you a question.Do you kind of wonder if all the balloting and locals were on the up and up when it came down to the wire?I saw alot of inconsistencies in how this last referendum was handled.Nothing was uniform.Outside monitors were not all employed at the locals to oversee things.Ballots were taken home in envelopes at night.Im not upset about the final outcome.Just some mistrust in the way things were handled.Never should be any doubts with the outcome of any of our votes.I trusted the first vote count more than i did the last.Plus before the first vote.We had threats upon our members.coercion.Which is illegal.Hey im cool with the final outcome. We all have a job for now.Who knows what the future holds.God Bless the working people

Do you think maybe some of the top officials from locals dominated by YRCW companies wanted make sure they kept their FULL pension, and benefits intact? For the rest of their working careers possibly?

Yes i have taken that into consideration. My God they cant lose their big pensions and salary and not represent us.that would be a travesty

You look back at that ^ rebuttal of yours 4-5 years from now.
See if you were right. You'll EAT IT.

You gave it a typical finish, too, where ya tell BIG TRUCK that if he
Doesn't like being scammed, lied to, and degraded, he should go over
To conway and work.

Been to Conway...not going back.but we are slowly getting to how Conway works and paying dues to do it.how ironic

Nothing that happens in the next 4 to 5 years will change anything I said.........

"No winners?? ....seriously??.. How many people are still employed at a decent livable wage with decent benefits...??.. That's a fact now, and if YRCW were to fail in the future, it would still not diminish the fact that it's continued operation currently is a good thing for All those that are still working there.....it is still providing decent jobs currently.....and hopefully will continue to do so for the long haul.....

If you believe that it's being hoarded by a few at the top of the Company.... your being nonsensical...If you think that giving up yours, and everyones, job because you don't understand "what happened to the 3.4 Billion" is a winning strategy......that is rather foolish.....in my opinion...

It is obvious that YRCW does not currently have the financial wherewithal to provide the preconcessionary wages and benefits.....and that the top management is not hiding millions of dollars from you........that current fact is not going to be altered by anything that happens in the next 4 to 5 years.......

No.... now we are giving this Company, and it's employees, the chance to continue to improve and become profitable again....and that is a win for everyone....

Events that might occur in the next 4 to 5 years does not alter the fact that this current contract gives this Company a continuing chance at viability....Succeed or fail....My remarks as quoted above will be just as applicable to the current situation in the future as they are now....

Maybe he knows a lot more about the inner workings and the actual seriousness of the situation......and besides who was it that touting that Our President said to vote no.....so that was your reason to vote no"??? ......now since Hoffa recommended a "yes"....he "flipped flopped"...??... get a reality check...

I made that statement in response to Mr bigtruk_us who made several remarks during the run up to the first vote that Hoffa was saying to vote "no" and that was his reason to vote accordingly......of course that opinion only lasted until Hoffa then recommended a "yes" vote in the 2nd vote....then it was "flip flopping"....and nothing that transpires in the future will change those statements......

The larger majority seem to disagree with you on that......

That statement will be just as true 4 to 5 years out as it is now...as regards the vote outcome.....

Yes..they "jumped".... I think it was quite clear that there were no endless opportunities to get back everything .......It was this..now or never..The majority spoke....live with it and move on....

This also will not change in it's scope of meaning in the current circumstances of today......You seem to be under the impression that some unforeseen occurrence in the future can somehow alter past events....

You look back at that ^ rebuttal of yours 4-5 years from now.
See if you were right. You'll EAT IT.

As you should obviously see, the remarks that I made were made in the context of the facts at this juncture in time.....While the future of YRCW is by no means secure at this time, it does not negate the validity of my comments that I re-quoted above..so there will be nothing to "eat", as you crudely put it.....

You gave it a typical finish, too, where ya tell BIG TRUCK that if he
Doesn't like being scammed, lied to, and degraded, he should go over
To conway and work.

I only offered Mr bigtruk_us an alternative to help ease his obvious displeasure with YRCW...I didn't say he should, or shouldn't go to Conway.....I mentioned them as a suggestion...but it could just as well be any of the many other choices available.....

As far as being "scammed", "lied to" ...those are only your opinions and had no bearing on my post..The majority disagreed and voted to accept the amended version..

To your point of being "degraded".... Please explain the context that you intended to impart...... I interpreted it that you meant that YRCW Disgraces it's employees....Bringing shame or dishonor upon them.......if that is correct....Explain in what way.....

Been to Conway...not going back.but we are slowly getting to how Conway works and paying dues to do it.how ironic

I don't blame you for not wanting to go back to Conway.......and I agree that the Union Carriers are slowly coming down to the level of Non-Union Carriers... and that is in large part due to the diminished presence of Union Carriers and Union membership.....and just that fact alone makes it worthwhile to do what is possible to keep YRCW operating and give it the chance to reach profitability......If the vote had gone the way that many, including yourself, had hoped for that would have only served to further diminish the Unions strength and that weakens its ability to serve the Membership at the remaining Teamster Employers...

Ironic?? ....not really.....it's just the natural result of shrinking Union membership and Employers and the Loss of YRCW would only have served to exacerbate the problem..You can see the parallel between the shrinking numbers of Union Companies and the increase in non-union companies putting pressure on the labor gains made by the Union and its members.......
