..how `bout that one stack Mack with a shack in the back...you clear to the line east bound, gouge on it......woopwoop.........

Been I lot of years but I run team in one of Overnite's one stack Mack with a shack in the back. You had to tie yourself down in the sleeper...:biglaugh:

When I first started with Overnite in the summer of 1986,we were running around our down town city routes with them second story flat back Mack twin screws hauling 45 foot,102 wide dry vans.
Talk about a total nightmare.
We city slugs always inherited the line haul hand me downs, the ones with, the million miles plus on them.

Yes I know you all will say, they were just broke in.
I say more like they were duct tape specials,it didn't break my heart when those monsters were replaced by the (R) Models not that they were any prize, however a little better than the old flat backs.

I always had a laugh when the youngsters would whine about the newer stuff we were driving when UPS rebranded us,they really didn't know how good they had it.

Here is an update:

The new equipment provides many advantages to our operations. This investment will greatly reduce the cost of maintaining inventory parts, allows UPS Freight to share equipment with UPS small package during peak seasons.

Well, Its a fact now Overnite. How does being the same color greatly reduce cost of maintaining inventory parts? But I guess when we slow down during the winter months (Christmas) they will take our tractors but let the drivers starve as usual.

u known why they r all going brown is so they can hide the dirrt better lol..... maybe with the new trucks they will start letting us washing them

If I'm not mistaken that is why UPS went with the all brown unis many a moon ago. I say this as I just removed my grease stained grey shirt.
