Lol, says the guy who works for a borderline bankrupt company that can't even afford to re-brand all it's old decrepit tractors and trailers. Come off your high horse dude.

Best for shareholders, bad for drivers

Says who??From what I see on their board,99% of them seem very satisfied with their employer. From some eyes throughout the industry, that probably seems like a dream.A company that actually makes money and the employees are happy???Show me one thats better.I guess misery really does love company.

Nothing but good things have I heard from OD drivers back when I was a peddle driver. That speaks for itself.

Don't need it, first in first out dispatch is a wonderful thing. Should have enough seniority for a schedule in about 3 years. Heck I think I'm running as many miles if not more than some of our schedule drivers. And with all the other ancillary crap that goes with wearing the blue uniform, I'll pass. For all the guys that love working for Con-way, good on ya! I wouldn't take your happiness away for anything. It's important to feel satisfied in your work. I just felt like I was :regretful:and :732: for just trying to do my job. I guess I'm just not that good an employee cause I couldn't hack it.

See how "wonderful" you think it is when when there are 30 drivers ahead of you and they are only calling out 3 people in a 24 hour period as often can happen in Atlanta ...

Holland is hands down , cause of no camera's in the trucks !!! plus we work with no supervision , we do what ever we want daily , take only the dock stops and leave the hand stops for the later starting jr. guys , take our lunch & breaks when ever we want , come to work when we want , go home sick when we want , take whatever tractor we want , it really rocks working at a place with no supervision or rules !!

That sounds like a complete cluster****. Just what I want, to come to work and get nothing but hand deliveries and an old junk truck that nobody else wanted. Yeah sounds like a dream....

**** happens. I've had days like that. But I've only been with them since July, so it's better than a hog board. I'd never work. And with some seniority I can get a bid run and not worry about it anymore.

I know several guys that work there and while the forum could possibly be censored(by your opinion),our conversations are not.You may see things that you would not get adjusted to,if you worked there but that works both ways.

As usual you don't know what you're talking about,I'm a moderator on that board and a working line-haul driver,as far as management being on our board they probably visit, but rarely do any of them post,as far as censorship goes Someone in the family can post anything they want, outsiders(like you)not so much latitude, just like if I crash YRC's hopeless mess of a forum I'd expect to be run off.Sorry to the CNWY Mods and members that this thread has become some sort of referendum on one outfit.

Dean, it's like our pastor said at church Sunday, "if you're boldly moving forward, there will almost certainly be opposition." I guess it's up to us to decide whether the opposition is warranted or just bluster.
