FedEx Freight | I Love My J O B

I don't do the back row, anything more. I don't need to, I work at Fedex now.

You're not a very bright individual, are you?
I dunno GR. it seems to me that the only place you find guardrails is on the outer edges and the back of a lot. LOL

Wow! There is a big disconnect with the folks who operate this forum and those who don't . Really nothing else to add. Just curious where some get their "better than you" attitude

Nothing to do with the "operators" of this forum, it has more to do with those who actually like their jobs and those that just like their paychecks...
Alot of you people here have never had a :shit:ty job because if you think this job is bad, you got issues.

Do some things need to be improved? Sure they do.

Guys or I mean rookies the back row is considered "party" row. C'mon driver get it right

CI, I did search the forum and there is no thread where I said I love my J O B.
Daywalker, I did have to pick up and move. I was forced out of my hometown of 37 years so I could go to the bottom of the board.
My comments are all positive as I have turned over a new leaf!!

:Violin:Oh I love FedEx. I think the job would be great if corp. wasn't fighting us every step of the way. They're making it as hard as possible to do the job. But hopefully things will get better.:butt kiss:

Been with the company 21 years, and have loved every minute of it.....Some call me a company suck up.....I say, I work my butt off and do what needs to be done plus....Do I agree with everything? No, but I still love and am proud to work for this company.....I actually think we are over paid to do what we do, but I will take it. I have been able to pay off all my bills, and now am basically debt free. I actually enjoy going to work, and dont have to put in 10 or 12 hours a day to be happy. I see the miserable employees....and alot of them bring it on themselves.....They worry about everybody else instead of themselves....Who goes on what route, who is getting overtime, etc. I get sick of all the whinning. I have talked to so many former employees who either quit for a greener pasture or got fired, and now they tell me how lucky I am to have stayed with a stable company that pays well. Insurance is great, and believe me, we have used the heck out of it. I say to you troubled employees, either find something in life that makes you happy, so you dont have to be so miserable at work, or get out of this line of business. And mostly worry about yourself.....not what your fellow employees are doing....Now go ahead and beat me up for liking my job.....I will still have a smile on my face every friday when I get my check....

Isnt that what your paid to do? If not, start your own company and you can do what you want.

I hear ya. I'm just damn glad some of these guys work here cause I don't see how FedEx ever made it till they showed up

I think if you spend any time reading this forum you'll find both good and bad opinions of FEDEX.

I also think that ones opinion is going to based on were he/she was when the big changes started taking place several years ago.

If, for example, you were domiciled in the greater L.A. basin and you happened to be at one of the hubs with a little time under your belt you were in good shape.
But if you had the bad fortune of being domiciled in one of the outlying yards, even if you had plenty of strap, you were screwed in a major way.

I'm sure there are many other examples that are out there but my point is, it's all a matter of perspective.

wow i see we still don't do any psychological testing for new hires at fred x... are you for real. good luck

whatcha talkin bout Willis ?
maybe you misunderstood me i was referring to the new guys that never been in LTL or on the road. The guys that know better than the managers, the guys that butt heads with everyone.
I'm just a driver and I like it that way. some guys really want that red shirt :nono_h4h::732:

Are you a driver or dockworker?

Wow!!!

Some of you people need to grow up.

You fine folks have no idea how good you have it.

I came from a company that spent hundreds of dollars to hire good people and the spent thousands to get rid of them. Every day spent at my former employer was one of stress and and discontentment...that in tandem with the ever continuing 'takebacks' from the benefit package made the job intolerable.

Every employee from my previous employer has a target on their back whether they are willing to admit it or not.

And sorry to bust your bubble...FedEx doesn't operate in such a manner whether you want to admit it or not.

Responsibilities are spread across the FedEx spectrum...no one is exempt. If you cannot accept such a premise then you are employed at the wrong company.

Where I came from everything was laid at the driver's feet...lack of profit was the driver's fault...all damages were the driver's fault...lack of adequtate business levels were the driver's fault.

The redshirts have the bulk of the responsibility of the operation...as they should...if they want to wear the shirt then accept the hassles of the job...otherwise move on.

Your job doesn't 'suck' as bad as you might think...just take the time to investigate what else is available...your viewpoint may change.

Yes...its just a job...but all things considered its one of the best out there.

"Mr Almighty" is entitled to his viewpoint...and I for one must agree.

DDOOOOOOOOMED!...BULL ::shit:: !!!!

Rat

We are AF, VIKING and WATKINS former drivers. We are still learning the LTL business... Please be PATIENT WITH US. I have seen at least a dozen CONWAY rats run to the comforting arms of FEDEX FREIGHT. and I can always spot them... they are the guys who stand around and want to the "TALK THE TALK" but stand beside their forklifts and scream" LOOK AT ALL THE FREIGHT I MOVED". In my day as a "newbie" at AF we busted "AASS" and didn't need somebody to pat us on the rear-end and say "GOOD JOB". Shut Up and do the job you were hired to do is my advice to the 20% of the board at my barn that is EX CON.
