YRC loves you guys.. you think you saved your jobs. All you did was allow the men up top to stuff their pockets full of cash!

This Company will still be going down.. Upper Management, Bankers, Stockholders will live Rich off your backs..

So, when it does shut down, and you're all whining about how much you gave, we will all be looking for new jobs! Quit Drinking the YRC KOOL AID !!!

Thanks Alot !!:eck13:

git em. but,dont let up.:ranting2:

Evidently, the previous posters didn't care much about your thoughts either.
My opinion is considered astute by most who read it, so here goes:
The YRC situation is sad at the very least. Between the labor problems, management problems and financial problems, there isn't much to cheer about. However, my wife has a great saying on her office wall: LEADERS think and talk about solutions. FOLLOWERS think and talk about problems. I couldn't agree more!
When the labor force at YRC has all of their members on track to try to make things better, it will benefit all of us. When the management, PARTICULARLY the senior corporate management, figures out that respecting their labor force makes for a respected and respectable labor force, things will get better. When we as a company start taking care of business like it's important to us (which it is), then things will get better. Here's what I see as needing to happen:

1) Dockworkers and drivers-come to work no matter what the weather so long as it's safe to do so, and do your job well.
2) Front line managers and supervisors-THINK!! Work hard to take care of the customers and their transportation needs
3) Senior management-make prudent and sensible executive decisions and strategies. Quit trying to run every aspect of the company from the Roe Avenue palace. Let the local management MANAGE; that's what they're being paid to do. Respect the rank-and-file folks. This company is a classic application of "The sergeants run the Army."

" When the management, PARTICULARLY the senior corporate management, figures out that respecting their labor force makes for a respected and respectable labor force, things will get better."

That will never happen. With the 3 billion more in concessions over 5 years AND less money paid towards interest on the debt, it will be business as usual.
Back to discipline for tardiness, absenteeism, seatbelts, and fabricated "misloads." Even comments about "no talking."
More micro management. Even the supervisors complaining. Do robots get any respect?

What an eloquent observation. I'm so glad you've decided to share your astute opinion. I think that most here understand the tenuous position YRCW Teamsters find themselves. Perhaps you'll enlighten us ALL as to a solution.
Sorry about the sarcasm, but this thread is redundant.

Solution is simple. Shut down yrc. When you have a cancerous tumor you cut it out so the body can live on.

Now, this is the best solution.. I'm proud to say I used to work at Yellow.. YRC can go away. The Sooner, the Better.. cancerous tumor, I love it..

Did it ever occur to you that the real cancer in the company is people like you who have that attitude?

Here is a more accurate application of your illustration... When you have a cancerous tumor (People like you) you cut it out so the body (YRCW) can live on....... ...

You think that is the "best solution"?? Here is a better solution for you...and easier too...Since YRC is not going to "go away"....Why don't you just Go away...See....Problem solved for you..You can be "cancer free" with two simple little words..."I quit" .. It's a good thing your not in charge of anything important.....

Did it ever occur to you that the real cancer in the company is people like you who have that attitude?

I guess it never occurred to them because they are focused on the simple solutions.......Simple Solutions for simple minds......

It must be hard to have to live life being so bitter about the fact that YRCW continues to provide decent paying jobs and benefits to thousands of people and their Families.......

You are exactly Right Mr Triplex....People that have attitudes like those are a "cancer" to this Company.....

Well 87, Triplex may not be EXACTLY right, but close. Have no doubts, we are all pissed off when our paychecks get reduced, particularly those of us who work very hard and very efficiently, trying to keep this place afloat for all of us. I deserve every cent of full scale and benefits plus more on top of that, but it's not to be had here. Those who are lazy, inefficient, reckless and otherwise a liability rather than an asset just "chap" me to no end because they get paid the same rate that I do. BUT, for those of you that think this company is SO BAD, there is a simple solution: go where you think the grass is greener. Nothing is holding you here but you. I have contemplated leaving many times, but determined that my energies are better spent trying to make this company better, not starting over somewhere else. Does the ineptitude of some of the management anger me? Yes, without question. Does the laziness of some of the rank-and-file anger me? Yes without question. However, I didn't come from "quitter" stock, so I hang in there trying to improve the "dog I know" instead of chasing another dog.

Look it's pretty simple. The voting is over. That has been beaten to death already. The question now becomes what role will you play?

He is playing the part he obviously plays daily at work. It always seemed to me the people who do the most bitching, do the least amount of work.

What attitude? Its rather simple. Yrc freight has been losing money for years. Anybody with any common sense would close the subsidiary that bleeds money. Yrcw is dying because of the inability of yrc to generate any kind of profit.

Do you want to tell your opinion of Yellow, or should I, yrc-atm?

Yellow is a parasitic company and hasnt been able to stand on its own for decades. It should have died in the 50's when they went bankrupt.

I knew this would cause hate and discontent.. it has been enjoyable reading the replies.. I thank all of you.. We've gotten a kick out of this.. trying to come up with another simpleton post to get you guys going again soon!!

Albag reading all your posts are redundant.. look back.. get a life..

So little time so many trolls, either way I will do my job and when I don't feel I can do it 100 percent I shall move on and never look back

I usually only "cry, scream, pout" when I get singled out. Also, why do I constantly have to remind supervision of "a fair day of pay, for a fair day of work?"
I don't play those "numbers" games because normally those numbers are manipulated.
I accomplish my job safely first, then efficiently , the way I was trained, and protect the customers freight at all costs.
This BS cross-dock crap has damaged more freight then I have seen in 27 years. Period!
I guess YRC has forgotten their roots and who pays the bills for their million+ salaries.

P.S. Why is the word bitching Ok, but the word minus ing, is not? Thank You.

Not sure on the use of the " b" word. I am just here visiting anyway.
