1. The absence of urine & raw ass smell in cab.
2. Dash still intact.
3. Something on the side of truck that said DEF. Must be something new to this decade.
4. Arm rest still on seat & had more than 25,000 miles on it.
5. Absence of grease on door, seat, dash, gear shifter, steering wheel.
6. Permit book in proper place - not under seat propping it up.
7. All the dash lights worked.
8. Absence of dripping fluids from under truck.
9. No sneeze residue on inside of windshield.
10. Still had air in the tank after it set there for ten minutes.

wow they actually are getting people to work there lol ( except people close on pension) yea that's where I would go 2 years one week 8 years 2 weeks ouch that's another reason no one will work for any of these outfits

Yeah vacation sucks but you don't even have a pension there. With all the extra money he can afford to take extra time off. Bury ABF now that's funny New YRC same as the OLD YRC. Good luck getting people to work there,oh that's right going to tap the pen for some felons.Hahaa

I am sorry to hear your first round went so badly. Don't throw in the towel just yet I'm sure you'll have better stories to tell as time goes on. Maybe you could poke some holes in the headliner and dab a little white out on all those dashboard lights. That seems to make some of them feel more at home.

Yo! Series 60!
Congrats on your new Job! And as you say you now have 10 more reasons than we do to go to work!!!
Take care and God Bless!!

Your right, they do have white day cabs as well...Most runs UE runs at night, but also used for city operation.

Interesting, this one was during daytime so I'm guessing P&D. Made me do a double take when I saw it. Got me wondering if ABF was going to a camouflage color scheme - green tractors in the summer to blend in with the leaves and white in the winter to blend in with the snow.

I tried to do it when we had the LOA in the 1st mou.... I waited as long as I could (COBRA notice in mailbox) and had to come back to YRC... the guy before me went casual for 18 months...
Good choice for you ! They are a good company. Are they contributing 1% ? or 2... ah , must be 1 ... anyway just please dont change your avitar!!!

The word is that ABF bought some used trucks somewhere. I also heard that they were much cheaper because of the year of manufacture and some emissions regulations that came into play but I have not confirmed that. If they are used in a city operation they can go P&D by day and UE by night.

Not all, saw a white ABF day cab this week. First time I ever saw one that color myself.

These are used tractors purchased from Ryder. They have about half the miles than green tractors the same year model. They are being used for city & UE. This is the first time I remember ABF buying used tractors but they cost much less than new equipment. ABF didn't purchase new equipment last year for the first time in many years. The tractors they replaced are for sale on the ABF website. You can purchase a clean little green one owner for less than half of what ABF is paying for the Ryder tractors.

I don't know what they're selling but can give you about ten good numbers they should be selling...or giving away...or paying to have hauled off.

Most all of the new tractors we have been getting are white as well.I was told the reason was because it is much better for resale.I don't care if they are pink, I just wish they could figure out how to make a profit with full pension contributions like ABF.
