really kinda sad that year after year the same drivers use the SNOW excuse to milk the clock , saying oh gee SNOW was bad had to drive SLOW , and milk on extra hour , when other drivers make it back to terminal in regular time ??? guess that's WHY they keep saying vote YES , cause they don't want to go get a job where they might call them on the clock milking !!!! oh yeah drive safely home clock milker's !!!:TR10driving03:

Yea, don't you hate that, If anything they should get back earlier since sometimes it's so slippery that when you step on the brake you go faster.

Are you friggin kidding me.Now you say the yes voters are the ones milking the clock. You never have a positive thing about your employment and say we have the lowest paying jobs in the industry which is absolute bs.This is a damn good job and there is No Non Union competitor that 99% of our workforce would even consider. The worst thing about this job are the people who are miserable with their employment and constantly whining and bitching and I assure you that is not the yes voters.Yrcw was closing the doors with a no vote. They have lost over 2 billion dollars in less than 6 years including an 83 million dollar year ending loss in 2013.The prior lenders were calling their bond payments due and millions of dollars were hedged against those bonds betting on default. If anyone, including me, could find a better job they would and I have been trying but in the meantime myself and the yes voters are thankful for our jobs and working hard, not milking the clock and bitching.

Do you really think they pay a guy $700,000.00/yr. and all he has is a plan B? Really???

Absolutely and the clock was ticking. The previous lenders already got hundreds of millions in interest and kept penalizing them knowing there was no way in hell they could pay there debt. They certainly were not offering to restructure the debt to keep the company afloat and in February when the bond payment was do we would have joined the ranks of the 400, 000 teamsters under the nmfa who didnt think their company would close either. Why would anyone not think it wouldnt happen to yrcw they have lost more than any of them and still have an uphill battle. We are blessed to have a few investors that invest in distressed companies and get them healthy.Even with our concessions the company contributes way more than the non union competitors with 307 per week for insurance and approximately 67 per week with only 25% of pension payment. We have to adapt and compete or face extinction.I am a union man and want to preserve what is left of it and I don't believe the international nor the lender were lying.

if you worried about what you do during the day instead of what I do,you would get some more above and beyond production for them to pay their bills.

STOP DRINKING THE KOOLAID falconfan , and yes we are the lowest paid do some research on it , and NO YRC would have NOT shut the doors, with a 2nd NO vote , but you crybabys saying I am to old to go get a job or saying my wife would then have to get a job or etcs reason so you got your fricking YES vote so now stop you stop whining and get back to the terminal on time , and also IF we were so broke where did this money come from to pay all these BONUS payments out ?? bottom line is be ready for a giveback again in 2019 cause it will happen again !!

You are the one whining and being negative and if you don't know where the bonus money came from you didn't have a clue what was going on.The best non union ltl is fed ex and you pay for your bennies and have a hmo. They also monitor ot where I live and I assure the work rules are much more stringent at all non jobs.As far as the others you might do your research just because an hourly wage is higher than ours doesnt make it a higher paying job with all pay straight time and paying for insurance that isn't close to being as good as ours.If you really thought this was the lowest paying job and were as miserable with your job as you make it sound you would go to one of those better paying jobs.

If you wreck trying to hurry on slippery streets, who is responsible? So name calling just because you are a risk taker is uncalled for.

You can't even compare o.d with our job and you try to act like you are doing someone a favor by staying at a job you don't like and get paid less. You stay because it is a better job and have the protection of the union. You hurl insults and don't have a clue what you are talking about I will work my ass off no matter where I work and am thankful.Maybe you should try and do the same, it's much better than being miserable.

Wow!! "yes" voters, "no" voters.. Just what management likes to see.. Ya all have to put it behind you. Stop telling each other to quit..As far as best job?? Maybe pre-2009.. driving in the snow.. Everyone is different when it comes to weather and I would much rather see a guy drive slower than be forced to get back to the terminal in a hurry because someone is waiting.. And it always isn't how much experience you have but rather how much confidence you have..I worked with a guy years back who could blind side a grocery trailer with a sleeper cap first time every time but when it snowed we called him "fourway" cause as soon as it started snowing his fourway flashes came on and he slowed to a crawl.. He was just afraid of it..Remember something if you are rushing back to the terminal in the snow and you hit something, slide off the road or even get stuck.. YRCW will give you a letter.. .. ..

Ha Ha , I can play this game with you all year long HERO , all terminals have a few HERO"S like you that think they are going to save the company and without them it would shut down !!! LOL , so you keep working your ass off , and gee in 2016 will you get a bigger pay raise ?? NOT , plus what good does it do when YRC burn's money faster than Holland can make it ?? and you still forgot the" POINT" of this is that SOME drivers milk the clock on snowy days !!! and I can fight & argue with you till 2019 , and what about our ponzi scam pension fund that is going broke is that better than the non-union 401-k funds that still have money in them and that when you die your family gets money left in it and NOT the union !!

I guess Wrongway would rather have drivers keep driving and even drive faster than others on slick roads. Drivers are "a dime a dozen" these days and Holland will not hesitate to fire anybody for any reason. It is better to CYOA and be safe than to try to impress the dispatcher by saying "I can drive faster on ice and snow, so I guess I'm a better driver than the others" That works until the luck runs out, they get a chargeable accident, unpaid time off, then fired. The "butt kissers" then find out they weren't so special after all. Any sane minded "bean counter" in the accounting and safety offices will agree it is a lot cheaper to pay a few hours of overtime to drivers being extra safe in bad weather than to pay for wrecks and personal injury caused by drivers driving too fast for conditions.

crazy....You are anything but "crazy". You are spot on. A driver is paid not only to do the job, but to do it safely. He owes it to the company, he owes it to the other people on the road, he owes it to the customers that have entrusted him with the freight in the box to be delivered undamaged, he owes it to himself and most importantly, he owes it to his family to get home safely. He owes nothing to the dispatcher who will fire him in a "New York Minute" if he gets in a wreck that kills or injures someone. That same dispatcher who wants that freight NOW, will cover his own butt by saying "He drove too fast for conditions. He should have slowed down. Fire him." He will say that to save his own job, but will hang you out to dry. Remember, the driver is liable and can be sued by others injured or killed by his careless driving or driving too fast for conditions. The company and the dispatcher will just deny any responsibility to try to avoid any lawsuit. I've seen it happen many times before, both at Holland and at other companies. After an event like that, no other company will hire the driver. His trucking career is done. The company don't care. They simply go out and hire a new guy (at a lower pay rate). The company wins, the driver looses, all because he was trying to make "points" with the dispatcher by driving beyond what he knew was safe and worrying about what his fellow teamster "pals" might say about him to the dispatcher. Too many at Holland think this a game or a "race" just to see who can get to the end first to pump up their ego. Wrongway should be in management. He has that kind of attitude about his fellow drivers. I hope someday HE finds out just how expendable he is.
