Yellow | The writing is on the wall

I very confused. Are former YRCF employee's that now work at ABF, obligated to keep posting on 'OUR" Board,...or is the ABF Board closed for repairs ? YRCW is 4 times the size of ABF, I'm guessing we will have to loose more than a dozen employee's before we solicit Prison Inmates. And once that Genie is out of the bottle.........everybody else will jump on it for tax breaks Boys & Girls !
So what your saying is we are no longer employed by yrc we can't post here anymore? Yrc is 4 times the size of ABF & 4 times the debt, hauling freight at cheap rates to be the biggest don't seem to be working fed ex is doing it & only making a penny on the dollar. As far as losing a dozen people I think it's a lot more then that country wide some are realizing the 5 weeks vacation & a bid are not as important as full pension when they retire....

so we now have a new company president darren hawkins that came from conway (non-union) to be the president of yrc freight a union company. As broke as this company claims to be the top brass still manages to rake in millions of dollars in cash and stock options. The ibt which is suppose to look out for our best interest continues to give yrc everything they ask for plus a little extra. While we continue to give up 15% of our wages and 75% of our pension. I'm not a math genius but i'm pretty good with numbers to know that nothing from nothing leaves nothing. The top executives are only concerned with lining their own pockets & paying down the so called debt is not priority right now & it was never a priority from day one. As long as the union members are divided we will never regain what we lost. Good drivers aint cheap and cheap drivers aint good. Just my 2 cents but if anything i have said has offended anyone i apologize in advance.

Ad hominem attacks are always amusing to spot because they make the arguer appear like a petulant child.
No Mr. You it sound as if I should go elsewhere because the yes vote carried. I just asked why you stayed after the no vote went through. You and several bootlickers like yourself pissed your pants and begged management for a revote. Your nutle$$.

GO40,...what I'm saying is, if former YRC employees are gone and now truly happy with their decision, (which I hope they are) God Bless them all. I wish them all the best. I'm not going anywhere at 60 yrs. of age and 35 yrs. service. I know there are issues at all jobs, Union or not, if you're looking for Utopia, you'll have to wait for the Rapture. Why continue to stay here and stir the pot. You no longer have a horse in this race.

Thats where your wrong every giveback hurts everyone, you put your time in & want to ride off into the sunset no matter what the company offers. I still have 20+ years to go & I want to maintain the wage & benefits we once enjoyed. I'm not picking on you I think our age difference is our issue, how often do you see guys jumping ship with that kind of seniority....

Hey buddy, I think you have some treadmills and sky forts to deliver tomorrow. So rest up, eat well and get ready to give 'em your best.

I know your not picking on me Brother. We're all just venting our frustrations on the "Internet CB". None of what any of us has to say will determine or change the outcome, there are dozens of Dynamics in play here. My main concern is that all of us work and drive safely to be able to return home to our loved ones. That today, in and of itself, is a monumental task.

I don't feel obligated to post on YRC's board, just wanted to let others know their ARE jobs out there that are better than YRC, that WILL hire an old union driver that others on this board said could never happen. But I do find it interesting that YRC management seem to have found the sweet spot where some have had enough. Live to fight another day just isn't in some of these workers vocabulary. Get out while other companies are hiring seems to be the new thing.

the amount of drivers who already left and continue to leave may very well be the trigger that finishes them off.old freight hands are harder to find every day.

Abf terminal manger during my interview told me the system was full of Yrc applicants. He also said they have hired a ton and have had nothing but good things to say on there work ethic.

Hell yea, like a lost, abused dog who has found a home that will keep him warm and feed him.

Wait until the next COOP next month, YRCF might have to invest in a trailor load of Pampers
